New Hires and Tenure Announcement

Welcome, new hires!

Between the last three quarters of 2012 and first quarter of 2013, UHY LLP's Michigan offices added 41 employees to their team.

And its growth is far from over. UHY is always scouting seasoned financial professionals who seek to take charge of their careers. Congratulations, tenured employees!

In 2012 UHY proudly recognized 18 tenured employees during quarterly breakfast meetings throughout the year. Awards honored employees who reached milestones of employment from five years on in five year increments.

Three employees reach the 20-year or more mark in 2012. They are:

Michael Santicchia

Mike started in September 1982 as a Staff Accountant and now is a Partner in the Audit Group and a member of the Management Committee. He is also a co-leader of the firm's Nonprofit Industry Practice and Dealership Industry Practice. Mike was also instrumental in developing Driving Force Auto Dealer Consulting Group, a national network of accounting and consulting firms, providing integrated tax and business consulting solutions to dealerships across the country. He is a licensed CPA in the States of Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Oklahoma and Massachusetts. Mike received his B.B.A. in Accounting from University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Ralph Zerbonia

Ralph started in October 1987 as an Account Executive and is now a Principal of UHY Advisors MI, Inc., where he is involved in tax controversy issues, helps prepare business owners with estate planning and manages the firm's cost segregation tax practice. He utilizes his previous experience as an IRS auditor to help companies negotiate IRS controversies. He also provides expert testimony in various cases ranging from valuation issues, economic loss determination, divorce analysis and bankruptcy. Ralph is a licensed CPA in the State of Michigan and received his B.A. in Accounting from Youngstown State University in Ohio and M.S.T. in Taxation from Walsh College.

Debra Ritter

Debi started August 1992 as a Human Resources Administrator. She has been promoted several times throughout her 20 years with the firm and is now the Director of the Human Resources department. Debi handles all benefit negotiations on a national level for over ten offices around the United States and is very hands on with the management team. Thanks to her direction and initiatives, the firm has been voted "Metro Detroit's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work" for nine years in a row!
