48th Avenue to Lincoln complete! |
Paving for Point Lobos and the Great Highway to Lincoln is complete and the roadway is looking good. This smooth new street is a 20-30 year investment for San Francisco and Public Works is excited to announce its completion.
Striping the new road has been completed from 48th to Fulton and the remaining striping is going in now and will be complete soon.
Thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding during construction for the this important and historic corridor.

Lincoln to Sloat to be paved next |
With the first part of the roadway paved, the next phase will concentrate on the Great Highway from Lincoln to Sloat. Work will begin on those sections next week.
Later on down the line, you can exopect to see the median plantings to go in at the Linoln to Balboa section. |

Thanks to the support of San Francisco voters in 2011, the condition of the City's roadways and sidewalks is improving. Every neighborhood in San Francisco is seeing the benefits of the $248 million Road Repaving and Street Safety Bond, with safer conditions for pedestrians and smoother streets for motorists and cyclists on hundreds of city blocks. You might have noticed it is a busy time for new construction. The Streets Bond is a significant capital investment into perhaps the most important, most utilized elements of the City's infrastructure: our streets and sidewalks. We are grateful to be deeply involved in all the activity delivering these quality-of-life projects. We are a little more than a year into the three-year bond program and there are hundreds of public works projects going on currently.
