Worship Service Announcement
| |
Beginning 9/7:
The 9:45 worship service will be lengthened. The worship service will extend to 10:40/10:45. This will allow us to give more focus to a variety of worship elements. It helps the experience to be less rushed. The change will also allow us to take more time with communion, baptisms, and other prayers and liturgies of blessing. We will be changing up the order and adding more as well as differing varieties of music, and using more variety in media and drama. Children's Sunday School will be adjusted to end accordingly.
At 11:00 the Chancel Choir will be back and wearing the new robes. How grateful for memorial funds and other donations which have covered the cost to replace our 27 year-old previous robes.
Worship at 8:30 will continue to be engaging as we move the order to more closely match the 11:00 service. We offer communion the first and third Sundays of each month during that service.
Pray for a renewing of our hearts as we worship God together in all three of our worship services.

Chancel Choir

Chancel Choir would like to thank the congregation for its generous support of our fund raising efforts to pay for new choir robes.
Through your donations and support of the Peach Festival we were able to raise sufficient funds to pay for the choir robes and contribute to the repair of the grand piano. We will debut the new choir robes at our first appearance this fall.
We had a really successful fund raising period and couldn't have done it without the support of the congregation.

Movers and Shakers
| |
Do you have any unwanted gently used furniture or appliances?
The Missions Team will pick them up, store them if needed, and deliver them to needy people in our community. Typically, we support women coming out of the Lebanon Rape & Crisis Abuse Shelter and the needy in the local Hispanic Community. Jim Covert and Randy Young lead this effort, with assistance from many dedicated souls from our congregation. Circle Storage also supports this mission by donating clean, dry, accessible space for us to store these items until they are needed. Please consider them for your storage needs as a means of "giving back" to those who help our community. They are conveniently located on Columbia Road just South of Western Row Road and Kings Island.
