| HUD Changes 2530 Requirements for Non-Profit Board Members - Again! | |
My mother always said, "If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is."
A recent LIHTC Pilot memo from HUD, a subsequent Lender call and associated FAQ responses, excited many in the industry about a long overdue change in the HUD 2530 reporting requirements for non-profits.
Unfortunately, HUD will be clarifying their stance next week with a supplemental memo indicating that the 2530 change applies only to LIHTC Pilot transactions and not to all affordable transactions.
We will supply more detail in an upcoming newsletter. For the now, please do not make any changes to the way you are reporting non-profit principals for HUD financing applications.
