LAST WORDS

Marvin was in the hospital on his death bed. The family called Marvin's preacher to be with him in his final moments.

As the preacher stood by the bed, Marvin's condition seemed to deteriorate, and Marvin motioned for someone to quickly pass him a pen and paper.

The preacher quickly got a pen and paper and lovingly handed it to Marvin. But before he had a chance to read the note, Marvin died.

The preacher, feeling that now wasn't the right time to read it, put the note in his jacket pocket.

It was at the funeral while speaking that the preacher suddenly remembered the note. Reaching deep into his pocket the preacher said, "You know what? I suddenly remembered that right before Marvin died he handed me a note. Knowing Marvin, I'm sure it was something inspiring that we can all gain from."

With that introduction the preacher took out the note and opened it. The note said, "YOU ARE STANDING ON MY OXYGEN TUBE!"

A Review from a Client's Niece:

"My experience with Visiting Angels was great. I think the caregivers were excellent. All of them were qualified. My uncle liked them all. He was initially elusive, but they were able to engage him. They're very reliable; I'm very satisfied on how they took care of my uncle."

soarAppreciating Angels Who Soar

We are so proud of our wonderful, hard-working Angel employees who go beyond the call of duty. Below are reasons our Angels are so special...

Hola A. was caring for an hourly client who took a sudden turn for the worse and required live-in care. Hola offered to rearrange her personal schedule to stay in the client's home as a live-in aide until we were able to get a long-term live-in employee.

Becky C. has happily accepted last-minute fill-in assignments, even on holidays, so that our clients would not have to go without care and to also help the employees for whom she was replacing.

Thank You, Angels!

AboutOurCareAbout Our Care

Visiting Angels is a New Jersey-licensed, non-medical home care company committed to going well beyond the "industry standard" to provide an exceptional level of security, comfort and peace of mind to our clients and their loved ones. Our "Angels", all certified home health professionals, are ready to provide compassionate and dependable assistance with the activities of everyday living to seniors, the disabled, those recovering from surgery and to those who are simply frail. Our services include such simple tasks as light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands and shopping to more personal tasks such as hygiene assistance, bathing, dressing and grooming.

Visiting Angels' in-home care helps make it possible for seniors and other adults to continue to live at home and maintain the independence of their daily routines and familiar surroundings, safely. We truly understand how challenging and alien the entire home care selection process can be...and we are experienced in working with families; with loved ones "resistant" to receiving care; and with third-parties payors (such as insurance companies and the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs) to help insure that the best interests of the family and their loved ones are met.

Visiting Angels' services help families spend more mutually-rewarding and meaningful time with their loved ones and also helps provide comfort and peace of mind to those who face the challenge of long-distance caregiving.
