Shoplifting
Smile
An older woman was arrested for shoplifting at a grocery store. When she appeared before the judge, the judge asked what she had taken. The lady replied, "A can of peaches." The judge then asked why she had done it. She replied, "I was hungry and forgot to bring any cash to the store."

The judge asked how many peaches were in the can. She replied, "Nine." The judge said, "Well then, I'm going to give you nine days in jail--one day for each peach."

As the judge was about to drop his gavel, the lady's husband raised his hand and asked if he might speak. The judge said, "Yes, what do you have to add?" The husband said, "Your honor, she also stole a can of peas."

coldWhat is Boomerang Giving?
In this season of cheer, goodwill, and giving, Boomerang Giving fits right in. The concept is simple. Boomers and other seniors receive discounts on a daily basis. Whether it's at the movies, restaurants, hotels, or retail outlets, the discounts add up. Many seniors need these discounts, but many seniors can afford to pass what they've saved on these discounts to a worthy charity. That's Boomerang Giving!

Even though the holidays are a time to share the joys of family and friendship, the holiday season can be a stressful time for all of us. For seniors and their family caregivers, the added stress may sap the holiday cheer right out of them. Unrealistic expectations, loneliness, reflection on past disappointments or losses, anxiety about an uncertain future, failing to get enough sleep, and feeling generally overwhelmed are a few reasons for the holiday blues. These tips can help.

AboutOurCareAbout Our Care

Visiting Angels is a New Jersey-licensed, non-medical home care company committed to going well beyond the "industry standard" to provide an exceptional level of security, comfort and peace of mind to our clients and their loved ones. Our "Angels", all certified home health professionals, are ready to provide compassionate and dependable assistance with the activities of everyday living to seniors, the disabled, those recovering from surgery and to those who are simply frail. Our services include such simple tasks as light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands and shopping to more personal tasks such as hygiene assistance, bathing, dressing and grooming.

Visiting Angels' in-home care helps make it possible for seniors and other adults to continue to live at home and maintain the independence of their daily routines and familiar surroundings, safely. We truly understand how challenging and alien the entire home care selection process can be...and we are experienced in working with families; with loved ones "resistant" to receiving care; and with third-parties payors (such as insurance companies and the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs) to help insure that the best interests of the family and their loved ones are met.

Visiting Angels' services help families spend more mutually-rewarding and meaningful time with their loved ones and also helps provide comfort and peace of mind to those who face the challenge of long-distance caregiving.
