A Misunderstanding

Smile
Mrs. Green lived in two story house together with an elderly widow, Mrs. Robinson.

After not hearing from Mrs. Robinson for a few days, she got a bit nervous.

"Johnny", she called to her son, "do me a favor and go find out how old Mrs. Robinson is."

So, six-year-old Johnny went down the stairs and knocked on Mrs. Robinson's door.

"So, how is she?" asked Mrs. Green when Johnny came back up.

"How is she?" repeated Johnny.

"I've never seen her so mad in my life! She said it's none of your business how old she is!"

Calculator octoberOctober is Long-Term Care Planning Month

Once you calculate the cost of what your (or your parents') long term care may eventually be, you'll want to start your long-term care planning today. As people live longer, it's highly possible they may need extra care at some point. Medicare and most health insurance plans do not cover long-term care.

Nora de Cárdenas and Rudy Tervooren OFFICE NEWS
Each month, Managing Director and Co-Owner Rudy Tervooren goes out in the community visiting referral sources and attending client meetings.
Rudy also frequently gives presentations at senior centers, churches, and in offices throughout Mercer and Burlington counties in New Jersey. He's passionate about sharing how our State-certified aides can help seniors with all their daily living needs, making it possible for them to continue living at home safely and less expensively than in a facility.
Behind the scenes each month, our Care Management Team, led by Managing Director and Co-Owner, Nora de Crdenas, works in full gear. With many new and existing families to care for, the team schedules "just the right" aides for our families; responds to families' changing care needs; monitors our aides; and recruits and trains home care professionals to Visiting Angels' unique "philosophy of care."

If you would like to schedule an elder care presentation with Rudy, please call him at 609-883-8188 or email him at [email protected].

AboutOurCareAbout Our Care

Visiting Angels is a New Jersey-licensed, non-medical home care company committed to going well beyond the "industry standard" to provide an exceptional level of security, comfort and peace of mind to our clients and their loved ones. Our "Angels", all certified home health professionals, are ready to provide compassionate and dependable assistance with the activities of everyday living to seniors, the disabled, those recovering from surgery and to those who are simply frail. Our services include such simple tasks as light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands and shopping to more personal tasks such as hygiene assistance, bathing, dressing and grooming.

Visiting Angels' in-home care helps make it possible for seniors and other adults to continue to live at home and maintain the independence of their daily routines and familiar surroundings, safely. We truly understand how challenging and alien the entire home care selection process can be...and we are experienced in working with families; with loved ones "resistant" to receiving care; and with third-parties payors (such as insurance companies and the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs) to help insure that the best interests of the family and their loved ones are met.

Visiting Angels' services help families spend more mutually-rewarding and meaningful time with their loved ones and also helps provide comfort and peace of mind to those who face the challenge of long-distance caregiving.
