Open Path WireFree Gas Detection System
Otis Instruments has teamed with Spectrex Inc. to offer our customers the ability to detect flame and combustible hydrocarbon gases using state of the art technology. As shown below, Otis Instruments' OI-5900 4-20mA State Transmitter and OI-7010 Monitor--- when paired with the SafEye Quasar 900--- create a complete Open Path WireFree Gas Detection System.
Quasar 900The Quasar 900 is an open path detection system that provides continuous monitoring for combustible hydrocarbon gases.
The Quasar 900 consists of a Xenon Flash infrared transmitter and infrared receiver, separated over a line of sight from 23 ft (7m) up to 660 ft (200m) in extremely harsh environments where dust, fog, rain, snow or vibration can cause a high reduction of signal.
The Quasar 900 transmitter and receiver are both housed in a rugged, stainless steel, ATEX and IECEx approved enclosure. OI-5900 The OI-5900 is a WireFree state transmitter to be used in conjunction with a 4-20mA output sensor (such as the SafEye Quasar 900) via 4-20mA signal. Using an Otis Instruments Gen II monitor with the OI-5900 allows the unit to utilize relays and Modbus out. OI-7010 The OI-7010 is a Hybrid Monitor available with 12 or 32 channels. It supports up to 12 or 32 WireFree sensor assemblies, and up to four 4-20mA input sensor assemblies. The OI-7010 is backward compatible with Gen I WireFree sensor assemblies, and also supports Gen II Wirefree sensor assemblies (configurable).
