Beyond These Walls Next
We thank you for your continued generosity to Beyond These Walls Next!

Below is a note from Executive Director Bill Harmon addressing how we feel about each individual person's contribution and what it means to the work being done through BTW.

Every penny counts! We love them. They remind us of the widow's might, which Jesus shows us in Mark 12:41-44. They also call to mind children who want to honor God with what they have. Regardless of who gives them, they represent a desire to participate in God's work. We never underestimate the power of a penny generously returned to our Lord.

Operation Christmas Child
We have wrapped up the collection and encourage all to continue to pray for each of the children who will receive a shoebox. In particular, we especially pray that through this simple gift they may get to know Jesus.

As a church, The Bible Chapel once again set a new high with 2,534 shoeboxes from all campuses and several ministries.

As a community relay center, we collected 2,012 additional shoeboxes which included many area churches, a few businesses and many families. This gave us a total of 4,546 shoeboxes.

With the blessing of the use of the parking lot, we filled two and a half 28-foot trailers. We received an additional 8,901 shoeboxes from other relay centers (drop-off sites) located in Waynesburg, McDonald, Mt. Lebanon, Pleasant Hills, Washington, and Homestead. Our grand total was 13,447 filled shoeboxes.

Thank you to everyone who participated!

On Thanksgiving day, we had one of our best ever responses of individuals and families coming out to serve Thanksgiving dinner to the tenants of Bidwell High-Rise on the North Side. Prior to Thanksgiving, the Robinson ROOTS student ministry created treat bags decorated with Bible verses and fun notes for the children to pass out to tenants. In addition to the treat bags, we had a craft table set up for children to make Thanksgiving cards for tenants, while dinner was served and families fellowshipped around the tables. It was a great day for all to give thanks!

Washington Campus
Nearly 100 adults and children have been coming out to The Bible Chapel in Washington on Wednesday evenings for the Marriage Enrichment class this Fall. We've seen much fruit in marriages from this time together, and we've also seen what it takes to offer Wednesday evening programming in Washington. Now we're excited to offer more Wednesday evening classes in 2016! For more information about our upcoming classes, contact Zeb Thomas, Campus Director, zthomas@biblechapel.org.

The Celebration Service on November 22 was an amazing time to celebrate all that the Lord is doing in us, through us, and to us at The Bible Chapel in Washington. What a privilege it was to see three individuals drive a stake in the ground and publicly declare their faith in Christ through the ordinance of baptism. If you are a follower of Christ and have not yet been baptized, we would like to invite you to take that step! You can register online here or e-mail zthomas@biblechapel.org with any questions.

Wilkinsburg Campus
The third annual Give Thanks dinner was a huge success! The Wilkinsburg School District band, directed by Mr. Ray Strobel, provided the evening's entertainment with selections from the marching season and some Christmas classics! Pastor Dave DiDonato opened the evening with a word of encouragement and prayer for the students. Everyone enjoyed food and fellowship following the performance.

On November 28, the Wilkinsburg Campus was given the opportunity to march in the WPXI Holiday Parade in downtown Pittsburgh. Over 50 people from our church body helped pass out invitations to the Christmas Eve Service and also served as balloon handlers for a giant balloon! We are praying that those who were invited to the church will visit and get connected!
