Coming Back Home

Matthew 26:47-50

While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived. With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and the elders of the people. Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: "The one I kiss is the man; arrest him." Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed him. Jesus replied, "Do what you came for, friend." Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him.
Judas - Betrayer. Unfaithful. Disloyal. Traitor. Treacherous. Untrustworthy. Devious. Deceitful. Dishonest. Scheming. Conniving. He betrayed Jesus with a kiss.

Judas - Hand-picked. One of the Twelve. Treasurer. A man who walked with Jesus, heard him teach, saw the Lord's miracles, witnessed God's power. He betrayed Jesus with a kiss.

Judas - Remorseful, but not repentant. Sorry, but unforgiven. Took his own life instead of seeking new life. He betrayed Jesus with a kiss.

Have you walked away from God? Have you betrayed the Lord? Have you turned your back on Jesus? Stop running. Don't place your life in your own hands. Come to Jesus...and find the life you've always longed for. Let this prayer be yours.

Dear Jesus, I am sorry for turning my back on you. I am sorry for walking away from your blessings. I am sorry for disowning you in front of my friends. I am sorry for ignoring your power. I am asking you to forgive me. I desire to come back to you and stay with you...forever. Amen.

If you have prayed that prayer let us know at [email protected]. We'd love to help you on your journey back to Jesus.
