God of grace, when we fret over the state of the world, remind us that even when nations are in uproar and kingdoms fall, You remain in control. Teach us to be still and know that You are God. Show us and all people the joy that comes in following Your ways instead of yielding to the ways of the world. Guide all who govern us so that evil is thwarted, righteousness is rewarded, true marriage is honored and the lives of the unborn are protected. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.
