City Council Pursues Short-Term Rental Rules
|
The city is one step closer to allowing short-term vacation-rental permits after the City Council narrowly voted to further develop an ordinance to regulate such rentals.
The council voted 3-2 last week to move forward as long as details such as parking requirements and minimum rental lengths remain up for discussion.
Mayor Steven Weinberg said the ordinance is intended neither to infringe on homeowners' rights nor ignore the needs of permanent residents who have complained of noise, trash and other problems related to neighboring short-term rentals. The goal is to find a compromise.

Pinterest Introduces Analytics Platform
|

Pinterest is a popular online bulletin board lets you collect and share images from around the Web by "pinning" them to virtual boards. It was the 28th most visited website among U.S. Internet users in January with about 30 million unique visitors.
This morning, Pinterest introduced a web-based analytics tool, called Pinterest Web Analytics, giving businesses insight into how people interact with their content on Pinterest. The free tool allows site owners to track the number of pinners and pins collecting material from their sites, and the number of repinners and repins those initial pins received.
Site owners can also track total impressions and reach on the network, as well as referral traffic, both in clicks and unique visitors, sent back to their sites.
Learn more about how you can use Pinterest Web Analytics for your business.
