Big Texas Music Exhibit Success!

During the State Fair of Texas (September 25th-October 18th) nearly  112,000 visitors enjoyed the Big Texas Music exhibition.

As part of the exhibit the Dallas Historical Society raffled off a 2015 Gibson Les Paul Guitar that was donated by long-time volunteer and member, Wayne Smith (pictured on right).

Raffle tickets for the guitar sold out in just under one week at the State Fair. On October 19th, a winner was drawn and awarded the Gibson Les Paul Guitar.

Congratulations to Alex Francisco Caruthers of The Colony, Texas (pictured on the left)!

Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped with this year's exhibit. We truly appreciate your continued support and dedication to the Dallas Historical Society.
