THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the first annual MLHS 5K Titan Trot to support the spring athletes at ML.  This event was a huge success so keep those walking/running shoes active, and spread the word:  The Titan Trot 2015 will be here in no time!

ROBOTICS
Your CW Tech robotics team finished the 2015 season on a high note this past weekend during in the World Championship event in St. Louis. After two days of intense competition, the Robotarians finished 7th among the seventy six teams on the Tesla field. This is the highest we have finished the qualifying matches at the Championship over the past three years. We entered the playoff matches as the Captain of the 6th seed alliance. Unfortunately, the Robotarians' alliance was eliminated during the field quarterfinals. However, the Robotarians are ecstatic to have finished the 2015 season among thetop 2 percent of the teams in the world. In addition, team members had a fun time attending a "Roboprom" with about 1600 other high schools students from around the world. Overall, this has been another amazing and successful year. Congratulations to all the team members.

Sophomore Work Days

During the months of April and May, our Sophomore class will help you out!  Please call MLHS and let us know your job, how large of a crew you'd like, the location of the job, how long you think the job will take, and if we need to bring tools (yard waste bags NOT included).  CALL MLHS to REQUEST a CREW!

Sports Sign Up Week for Next School Year
The week of April 27 is Sign-up week for 2015-16 Titan Sports Teams.  All students were given a form on which to sign up for sports for next school year. Parents are encouraged to assist their child with these decisions about sports participation.  While it may be difficult in some cases to commit to a team in advance, plans must be made by MLHS ahead of time.  Good stewardship with our resources and the entrance of ML into the BCS Conference make it necessary to make plans and commitments based on the sign ups.  All sign ups need to be turned in to the athletic office by Monday, May 4.  A copy of the sign up sheet is available at michiganlutheran.org.
Call Mr. Eggert with questions at 429-5632 ext. 215.

2015 SPORTS PHYSICALS at MLHS:
June 23rd.
10:00 AM:  Cost $25.00 payable to SWMC

WAY TO GO MICHIGAN LUTHERAN - ONLY A FEW SPOTS LEFT

Dear ML Family,
Words cannot express the heartfelt thanks I have for the Thanksgiving Service and the Program that followed to celebrate my retirement.  It was an enjoyable time with friends, parents, and students.  The outpouring of love and thankfulness is overwhelming, and I am truly humbled.
Thank you so much to all of you for everything you did to make the day so special.  May God continue to bless Michigan Lutheran and its families.
In Christ's name,
Mrs. Ruth Gephart

Dear Friends,
The Kruck family thanks all involved in the planning and execution of the special service marking my retirement from the teaching ministry - the out pouring of comments, cards and gifts was a pleasant surprise.  The large number attending the program indicates the strong support for our ministry. Please continue to remember ML in your prayers and gifts.  I pray God continues to bless each of you and our beloved ML.
In Christ's Name,
William Kruck & Family

Farewell Ms. Sperle
On Wednesday, May 13th, beginning at 5:30 pm, MLHS will be holding a farewell reception for Ms. Sperle preceding our Awards Night.  You can bring cards and gifts on that day or send your cards and gifts to ML and we will make sure she receives them.  Please plan on attending this reception to thank Ms. Sperle for the 16 years of faithful service to the students and families of ML!

Prism Concert Series:

The annual MLHS Prism Concerts will be held on Saturday May 16th at 7 PM, and Sunday, May 17th at 3 PM.  The yearly Prism Concert gives our students the opportunity to present a variety of secular music to our MLHS family.  No tickets are sold or reservations taken.  Seating is offered on a first-come basis and a free will offering to support our Music Department will be taken.  This is an excellent opportunity to invite relatives or friends to share with you the enjoyable experience of MLHS using their God-given talents in a wide variety of ways.  Plan to attend and invite others to come with you for one or both of the concerts.  This is a highlight of our year!

2015 Graduation Commencement

2015 Graduation Commencement exercises for the Class of 2015 will take place on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 3:00 PM.  As in the past, we will hold a worship service to thank God for the gifts he has bestowed on these young people and to ask His blessings on their future endeavors.  After the conclusion of the service, we will hold the graduation ceremony, which has always been a little less reverent with picture taking, occasional applause, and the like.  The valedictorians speak and the senior anthem completes the ceremony.  Families of seniors will receive a letter outlining the procedure for graduation (dress, times, preparation, etc...)  Feel free to call the school office with your questions.

Senior Parents:
Please get your student's Senior Pictures submitted to dsperle@michiganlutheran.org so they will have a place in the yearbook.

Attention Seniors and Senior Parents:
This is just a reminder that there will be a $27.00 fee for graduation caps and gowns for which each of our seniors was measured.  They can be picked up from the ML Office beginning May 11.  Robes should be taken out of the wrap and hung on a hanger immediately so that they are not wrinkled for commencement services.

ATTENTION: Science adventures ahead!
Over a stretch of seven weeks, Ferris State University offers week-long camp opportunities in Grand Rapids where students can explore three career paths locally: Digital Animation and Game Design, Digital Media Software Engineering, and Molecular Diagnostics. These week-long camps are a great opportunity for students to get their feet wet and determine if they'd be interested in a career developing applications for smartphones, creating their own video games, or separating DNA to help detect cancer or a genetic disorder. All of these career possibilities can be studied at Ferris State University-Grand Rapids on the campus of Grand Rapids Community College.

For more information on all summer camps being offered, please visit www.ferris.edu/summercamps. You can also contact Susan Weaver with any questions: (231) 591-2920 orSusanWeaver@ferris.edu.
If you would like information about the programs offered at the statewide locations of Ferris, visit www.ferris.edu/statewide.
