MLHS Alumni Association

WINTERFEST SILENT AUCTION

The MLHS Alumni Association is extending a sincere thank you to everyone that participated in our "2014 Silent Auction". Through all your generous donations and support at last year's auction, and by the Grace of God, we were able to make another donation of $10,000 to the MLHS Tuition Assistance Program.

The MLHS Alumni Association is now accepting donations for the 2015 Silent Auction scheduled for February 13th & 14th. Our goal each year is to meet and/or exceed last year's donation total, but this can only happen through your generous support. Please consider contributing an item for our silent auction. We ask that all items donated are new or unused. If you have any questions on an item that you want to donate, please contact anyone of the alumni officers or committee members. Some items that have sold well in past auctions are gift baskets, furniture, appliances, gift certificates, sporting events tickets, sporting goods, food items, electronic equipment, etc. Monetary donations are also accepted. Please contact the MLHS office for alumni contacts. Looking forward to seeing you at the 2015 Silent Auction and Festivities!

MATCHING FUNDS!

The Alumni Association has received a matching cash donation, from an anonymous donor, for the Silent Auction. This donor will match up to $500 in cash donations to the Alumni during the upcoming Silent Auction. That means that your $5 cash donation is actually equal to $10, your $50 donation is equal to $100! Your cash donation to the Silent Auction can be doubled up to $500. So, during the Silent Auction on February 13 & 14, if you can't find anything to bid on, or maybe can't make it out for the Auction, please consider a cash donation. Remember, this is a fundraiser for the Alumni Association and the majority of the money received is donated to tuition assistance for the students at ML. If you can't make it to the auction, please send any donations to ML in care of Keith Hafer and make checks payable to "MLHS Alumni Association". Your support of the Silent Auction will help students be able to attend MLHS.

Attention Senior Parents:
It is almost time for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  This is a form that everyone should complete as it helps with financing college. If you do not qualify for federal aid, states and colleges use this information to determine financial aid for scholarships, grants, loans, etc.   You must file in Michigan between January 1, 2015 and March 1, 2015.  You must begin the process be procuring a PIN.  You get this by going to https://pin.ed.gov/ before January 1.  The sooner you file, the better financial aid package you will receive.  You do NOT have to be finished with your Income Tax to complete this form.   There will be a spot to estimate based on your previous year's return.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact Ms. Sperle at 269-429-7861 ext. 214 or email at [email protected].
