THE MLHS STUDENT/FACULTY/STAFF DIRECTORY WILL BE HANDED OUT TO YOUR STUDENT NEXT WEEK.  The directory contains phone numbers, emails, and addresses of the students, staff and faculty.  Please ask your student for the copy.

Homecoming Dance

The Homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, October 11th at St. Paul's in Stevensville.  Help is still needed.   We are asking a few willing/able parents to provide some snacks;  cookies, chips, brownies etc.  They will be given pizza and soda. Please email asievert@michiganlutheran.org if you

The dance will start after the MLHS vs. Litchfield homecoming football game in River Valley and will end promptly at 11:30 pm. Students are to go directly from the football game to the dance.   The doors at the dance will be locked aproximately 40 minutes after the football game ends.  No one else will be permitted to come in unless special arrangements are made with Julie Nitz beforehand.

Come and have a great time at the first dance of the year!

Dance Fees

If you have not already done so, please submit your dance fees as soon as possible. The per-student dance fee for the entire year is only $20, and makes the three annual dances possible.  Please email Mrs.Julie Nitz if you have questions ajnitz@aol.com.  There will also be two more dances this school year;  Christmas, and Winterfest.

Attention all fruit farmers in the ML family:
On November 7-9, Michigan Lutheran High School is hosting the East Regional Choral Festival. There will be approximately 270 students and adults needing to be fed 4 meals and several snacks during that weekend.  Since many of the visitors will be from places other than Michigan the food committee would like to give them a "taste of Michigan."  If any of you are able to donate any fruit that would be great. We are looking for a few peaches and blueberries and quite a few apples.  If you can help it would be best to contact Kris Pappenfuss 2269-759-4987.  Thank-you so much!  Watch for more details regarding the festival coming in the near future.

MLHS to Host 2014 East Regional WELS Choral Festival

Michigan Lutheran will be the host for this year's East Regional WELS Choral Festival.  The festival will take place over the weekend of November 7-9, 2014, and will include two public performances by the participating choirs - a Pops Concert on Friday, November 7, at 7:00 PM, and a Sacred Concert on Sunday, November 9, at 2:00 PM.

Now in its 48th year of existence, the WELS Choral Festivals bring together students from the various WELS area Lutheran high schools and prep schools across the synod for a weekend of music making and performance.  This year's festival will be directed by Mr. Jon Hermanson, the choir director at Illinois Lutheran High School in Crete, Illinois, and Mr. Joel Ungemach, choir director at Manitowoc Lutheran High School in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

The festival will present a variety of musical pieces, from individually choreographed routines by the various participant choirs at the Pops Concert to fully-orchestrated mass numbers of over 200 singers and instrumentalists at the Sacred Concert on Sunday afternoon.

All are cordially invited to join us for these special events!  Let's fill our gymnasium with people as we hear our musicians "Let the Light Shine" in the music they create that weekend!
