MISSION STATEMENT

Michigan Lutheran High School provides a Christ-centered, confessionally Lutheran secondary education to prepare young adults for lives of Christian service in their churches, workplaces, communities, the world, and for life with their Lord in eternity.

National Honors Society Chapter starting at MLHS

We are excited about a new opportunity beginning next school year for the students of MLHS.  ML has begun a chapter of the National Honors Society.  Current students have until May 6th, 2013 to apply to be a part of this organization.  More information can be found on our website at MichiganLutheran.org under the Activities tab at the top of the home page.
Purpose:  The purpose of the MLHS Chapter of the National Honors Society shall be to encourage the members to use their God-given talents in creating an enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulating a desire to render service, promoting worthy leadership, and strengthening the development of character in students of MLHS.

Hispanic Outreach in Southwest Michigan
We had a great turnout for our first meeting!  We had people from five of our area churches attend and enjoy chicen fajitas, chips and Spanish fruit salad.  Many MLHS students came and helped with the food preparation and enjoyed the presentation from Pastor Flunker.  Several students said he was a very engaging speaker and he helped them to understand some things about the Hispanic culture.
The next meeting will be late summer or early fall.

Thanks to all the students who were able to help and attend the meeting.  We are all excited to see how God can use us in reaching the Hispanics in our communities.

International Students Need Host Families

Michigan Lutheran High School needs host families! God is blessing your area Lutheran high school with an abundance of international students who will be attending MLHS in the fall. We can provide the education, we are asking you to provide a home for them while they are here. You do not need to have a student who is currently attending Michigan Lutheran. We simply ask for a willingness to treat these students as you would your own child (or grandchild!), by sharing God's Word and His love with them as you open your homes to them. This is an incredible opportunity to serve as a missionary in your own home! If you have any questions, please contact Heidi Plocher, International Advisor: 429-7861, ext. 211 or internationals@michiganlutheran.org

Kiddie Meet
For those families with children in K - 2, this is the day for you!  On Saturday, May 11, 2013, MLHS will host the first annual Kiddie Track Meet.  We encourage all LES families with kids in grades k-2 to come back to ML for a fun morning of fellowship, races, and track events geared toward their level.   These students will get information from school about this event.   If you have any questions please contact MLHS Principal Mr. Herbst.  We will have a small concessions stand this morning.   If you would like to help out with the concessions please contact Amy in the school office.  Thanks!
