 2012-13 School Sportsmanship Awards

Michigan Lutheran MS/HS was honored with both the Walt Lange Sportsmanship Award and the Denny Kniola Sportsmanship Award again for 2012-13. Michigan Lutheran is consistently at or near the top each year in the voting for these awards and are actually repeating from last year for both. Congratulations to all the student-athletes, coaches and supporters from ML whose consistent display of sportsmanship earned them this award.

2013 - 2014 Freshman Testing and Registration

Make-up Date is March 23, 9 AM - Noon
Students who will be entering the 9th grade in the fall of the 2013 - 2014 school year will be given the opportunity to take the Explore test at Michigan Lutheran High School.   This test, which is prepared by the same organization that produces the ACT, helps parents and advisors learn about their student's level of preparation in English, math, reading, and science. While the students are writing their tests, parents may register their children for the 2013 - 2014 year. A $50 registration deposit is to be paid at the time of registration. This deposit is refundable if the application is withdrawn by June 15th. If a student is planning to attend MLHS but cannot make the registration date, parents should call the high school at 269-429-7861 to make other arrangements.

THE MAKE UP DATE FOR THIS TEST WILL BE SATURDAY, MARCH 23 9 AM - NOON.  Please call the ML office if you will be coming on this date.  Thank you!

International Student Open House

Our International Student Program is at a very exciting point in its early history! On February 6, 2013 we were given approval by the United States Student Exchange and Visitor Program to be a host school for students with F-1 visas. What does that mean for our school and its families? We are being given the opportunity to educate students from foreign countries in the knowledge of Christ and to continue to keep them in our spiritual care for four years! Many of these students will arrive here not knowing (or caring) who their Savior is. Praise be to God that we have been given this truly amazing opportunity to share our faith with them through our daily focus on Christ, a Christ-centered curriculum, a Christ-focused faculty and staff, and our Christ-focused student body! Your opportunity to serve lies in the following: we are now seeking host families for these students. On March 24th at 6 pm, prior to the Spring Concert , stop by the Media Center for a presentation on what responsibilities and blessings exist in serving as a host family. We are looking for strong Christian families who have a desire to share the Gospel with these students. Come and learn more!

Parents of Current Freshmen, Sophomore, and Juniors,
On Monday, March 25, each our classes will receive their re-enrollment papers for next year. Included in this will be a Course Plan and a Registration Form. These will be due back to the school by Thursday, March 28 with a $50 registration fee. This fee will be applied to the tuition and fees due for next school year.

The copies of the registration forms and course plans can be found on our website www.michiganlutheran.org under My Titan Resources.

Robotics at ML

Congratulations to your CW Tech Robotics team for winning the St. Joseph district event against 39 other teams. This past weekend, after going 12-0 during the qualifying matches and achieving the number 1 seed rank, the Robotarians formed an alliance with Team Excel from Niles and The Copperbots from Calumet, Michigan to compete in the elimination matches. After sweeping the quarter-final and semi-final matches, your Robotics team won the event in three very tight finals matches. The CW Tech Robotarians are presently ranked 2nd in the State and, as of Friday, 14th among 850 FIRST teams worldwide. This win qualifies us to compete at the Michigan State Competition in April. Way to go team!!!

The team would like to thank the numerous faculty, staff, and administrators who came and supported your team. It was greatly appreciated!
