Happy new year and our warmest wishes for a prosperous 2013!
In this issue, Tony Stanton, PE, team leader for Olsson's Water Resources team, previews the presentation he'll give this month at the Kansas Recreation and Parks Association (KRPA) conference.
In addition, Olsson has launched a new Freight Planning team to accommodate our expanding coordination efforts in freight and intermodal transportation. You can read more about this exciting venture below.
Finally, we're pleased to report that we have some newly minted engineers in our midst. Four Olsson staff members recently received their professional engineer (PE) licenses. Stanton Presenting at Upcoming Park Association Conference

Tony Stanton, PE, will be a presenter at the annual Kansas Recreation and Park Association (KRPA) conference in Manhattan, Kansas, January 28-31. Tony's presentation is titled "Lake Management and Restoration for Public Parks" and is based on Olsson's various project experiences restoring park lakes in the Midwest.

Olsson Adds Freight Program, Welcomes Program Leader
To address the nation's growing need for freight planning and intermodal coordination, Olsson Associates has initiated a new freight transportation program to its practice. Olsson Announces New PEs
Olsson Associates is pleased to announce that four staff members from Olsson's Geotechnical, Public Infrastructure, and Mechanical/Electrical teams recently passed the professional engineering (PE) exam. The requirements to become a professional engineer include four years of professional experience under a licensed professional engineer and passing the PE exam.
