January 2015

Welcome 2015!
Happy New Year! We hope you enjoyed the holidays in a way that was enjoyable and meaningful to you.

With the temperature plummeting and snow falling, there is a tendency for those of us in the northern climes to want to hibernate. Not at Ephraim Pottery, though! As soon as the hustle and bustle of the holidays was over, we hit the ground running. We're busy getting ready for our winter events, developing new pieces, and planning for 2015. Read on to find out what we're up to.

We hope you'll continue to connect with us through email, Facebook, and Pinterest as the year progresses so we can share all our exciting news with you. Here's to a great 2015!

This month's NEWS...

Warm up with our winter events
Becky Hansen works on a large version of our popular Maybells Vase.

The studio has been buzzing with activity as we get ready for our winter shows. This year, in addition to the pottery, tile, and frames from our Studio Collection, we've got some exciting new work to showcase at the Los Angeles Pottery Show and the Grove Park Arts and Crafts Conference

It may be cold and dark outside, but our booth will be warm and bright! We are working on some special lanterns to bring to the shows, along with our new, custom-order pendant lights. Our artists have been creating smaller and larger versions of some of our popular pieces, like the Maybells Vase shown here, that will add interest and variety to your collection. Since this is the time of year when we're working on ideas for our new Studio Collection, we will be bringing some examples of pieces we've been developing. And let's not forget our woodshop! John's been busy working on designs for new products, including shelves for displaying pottery and tiles. We'll also have some unique framed tiles. You can get more of a flavor of what we've been working on here

As you've probably gathered by now, there will be a lot of new things to "ooh" and "aah" over at our winter shows. We hope to see many of you at one or both of these events! If you have any questions about either of these shows, please contact Laura Taylor (ephraim.office@gmail.com or 888-704-7687).

... and NOTES!
Next Reserve Edition
Watch for our new Reserve Edition piece coming in early February. Hint: It's a miniature!*
An announcement will be sent by email and posted on Facebook. We will have examples for you to see at our winter shows (see above) and our galleries. Online and phone ordering will be available.

*The photo shows last year's Reserve Edition miniature, which is no longer available.
Chestnut is back
We're pleased to announce that the Trumpet Vine Vase is once again able to be ordered in Chestnut Green. We had to temporarily discontinue this color option a while back due to issues with the glaze. It's now back and as beautiful as ever!

Cambria Art & Wine
If you enjoy a little wine with your art, you'll love Cambria's annual Art & Wine Festival. Enjoy wine tastings, music, refreshments, and an art fair. Ephraim Pottery West will be serving light refreshments and, of course, wine! We hope you can join us on January 23-25.
