Welcome to the latest issue of N ews & Notes. Spring finally arrived in our area this past weekend! Leaves are bursting out, flowering trees are in bloom, and the buds on some of the tulips and daffodils are finally opening. It's still cool and gray, but we're on our way!
We're so excited to announce that our first-ever Facebook Fan-Built Piece, the Hollyhock Vase, is now available as a Reserve Edition! Read on for the wrap-up and photos. And if you're in the Chicago area this weekend, stop by our booth at the annual Arts & Crafts Chicago Show at Concordia University in River Forest. We hope to see many of you there!

| Fan-Built Piece is now a Reserve Edition |
Our first-ever Fan-Built Piece is now a reality! With your input on our Facebook page, we built a piece from the ground up, starting with the subject matter and moving to form and sculpting. Since the last newsletter, you chose the glaze and the name. (If you missed the April newsletter, you can read about the beginning steps of the process here.) The next step is putting this lovely creation up for sale!
We have decided to offer the Fan-Built Hollyhock Vase as a Reserve Edition. Two color choices are available: Leaf Green with white flowers tinged with pink (the top vote-getter) and Dusky Olive with orange flowers (a tie for second). Details appear here and in our online store.

Wondering what's going to happen to the experimental pieces that we created as part of the Fan-Built Piece experience on our Facebook page? Because so many people took part, we wanted to give everyone who's interested a chance to own one of these experimentals. Since they are one-of-a-kind, we've decided that the fairest way to give the greatest number of people that opportunity is to offer them for sale by auctioning them off on eBay.
The auctions for the 10 pieces shown here just went live on eBay this morning. On eBay, search EXPERIMENTAL EPHRAIM POTTERY HOLLYHOCK and you will find them. They are 7-day listings that will end on Friday morning, May 23.

Studio Collection & Catalog

This year we will be presenting only one, larger, Studio Collection. The new collection is scheduled to go online during the second half of June. Print catalogs will be mailed in mid-July.
We will also be offering several Reserve Edition pieces this year. These will be announced by email and posted on our Facebook page. If you want to know when new pieces are available, please check your inbox and our Facebook page so you don't miss any notifications. |
