Pastoral Care logo Caring Hands
Trinity's Pastoral Care tradition is one of devoted clergy working hand in hand with trained lay ministers/ parishioners.

If you need - or someone you know is needing - spiritual tending, a way to ease the heaviness of an unwelcome burden, please contact us. Whether the need is acute or ongoing, as parishioners trained in various types of pastoral ministry we offer solace and support that reflects God's presence and healing power in our lives.

Life-altering situations - times of joy, sadness, illness or changing circumstances - often increase a yearning to be nurtured by our faith community, by its comforting prayers and acts of kindness. If now is one of those times for you, simply phone:

Cold outside, warm inside...Compline
January 19, 7:00 pm

Every third Sunday of the month (Oct-May), the Trinity Choir presents a service of "Compline" at 7pm.

This coming Sunday the chill outside will give way to a warm and wonderful candlelight experience in our Church.  The choir enters in silence and sings acapella for about 30 minutes, allowing parishioners who attend to enter a sublime state of contemplation, as harmonic melodies and soulful prayers mark the completion of the day.

The full sensory experience of slight, sound, and smell (incense is used prior to the choir's entry) makes for a magical way to celebrate the coldest week of the Compline season.   You'll leave the Church feeling in your bones that, with regard to winter, it's "all uphill" from here.

Newcomer's Brunch
February 9, 12:00 noon

Please join the Newcomer's Committee in welcoming newcomers to Trinity.  This twice yearly brunch is a way to meet and greet our newcomers in a smaller and social setting.  We need Trinity "long-timers" as well as recent members, young and old to join us and perhaps contribute a dish to share.  And of course, if you are a Newcomer, we really want to meet  you at brunch too!

RSVP by Feb. 4  to Nancy Hagner:  [email protected] or 609-924-2277, ext. 307.

Episcopal 101
Begins February 16, 10:00 am

null

Episcopal 101 returns February 16, 23, March 2, 9. New to the Episcopal Church? Curious about the Book of Common Prayer? Church History?  What we are doing in the liturgy? What do Episcopalians believe?

Join us for 4 weeks of fellowship, learning, and questions (led by Fr. Paul, Rev. Jenny, and Nancy) about being an Episcopalian.  All are welcome, whether you have been a life-long member of the Church, are seeking to be confirmed or received, or are simply curious!

Please contact Nancy Hagner if you plan to attend so we can be sure to have enough materials.  [email protected] or 609-924-2277, ext. 307.

Episcopal Relief and Development

Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) is the international relief and development agency of the Episcopal Church of the United States. As an independent 501(c)(3) organization, ERD takes its mandate from Jesus' words in Matthew 25:40, "Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of these who are members of my family, you did it to me."

Its programs work towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals. Together with the worldwide Church and ecumenical partners, ERD helps to rebuild after disasters and to empower people to identify and work towards lasting solutions that fight poverty, hunger and disease.

From now until December 6, ERD has a challenge grant in place. Donations to its programs or to the Gifts for Life catalog will be matched dollar for dollar up to $500,000. For Thanksgiving or Christmas this year, please consider a gift in honor of a loved one from the Gifts for Life catalog or consider a gift to continue to help with disaster recovery from events such as Hurricane Sandy.

Donations can be made on the Episcopal Relief website (please identify yourself as a member of Trinity, Princeton) or by check. Please contact Ann Zultner if you have any questions.

Be Safe this winter!

We've now been hit with our second snow storm.  As lovely as the snow can be and fun to sledding and skiing...it can be hazardous as well.  Let's be safe and prepared this winter!

Here are a couple of helpful links from the American Red Cross.

Stay safe, and let's look out for one another!

Thanks to Curtis Hoberman for this safety information.
