Greetings Gardeners and Landscapers,
Summer is here !!!
It is with great excitement that we welcome long days complete with cool / foggy mornings and warm afternoons. During July we encourage gardeners and landscapers to feed their vegetables and flowers. I recommend "Bud and Bloom" by Dr. Earth. I also recommend drizzling a small amount of compost under the drip line of shrubs and trees. The soil in your garden is more alive during July than any other month of the year. Feeding your soil with some compost will go a long way.
Summer is a great time along the central coast to consider adding a water feature to your landscape. Why not consider a small, self-contained disappearing style fountain or something with multiple tiers to encourage visits from birds. Either way, I'm pleased to remind you that McShane's has a full service pond department. We'll even come to your home or jobsite to get your water feature ship-shape.
During the summer months we see a small up-tick in requests for landscape design. Did you know that we are offering a "free consultation" when you agree to utilize McShane's for a landscape plan? We've got architects, designers and staff standing ready to help rejuvenate your garden.
I remind myself daily how lucky we are to live here along the Central Coast of California. We are surrounded by beauty and the chance to garden year round. I welcome you to allow us the chance to help you.

Peaches vs. Nectarines
