Get your home and landscaping ready for the holidays!  Hanging Poinsettias are back, after a two years absence, we finally have hanging poinsettia baskets for sale.  The baskets are locally grown and available in red, white and marble colors.  Some of these show-stoppers measure nearly three feet in diameter.  You are sure to be the talk of the town with such a unique and beautiful creation.  We encourage you to pick one up before they are all gone.  Add some great winter color!  Mums, Cyclamen, Pansies, Snap Dragons, Primrose, and Kale are here in great, vibrant, winter colors!  We still have a few Spring Bulbs remaining, if you still need to plant. Plant them now and enjoy beautiful spring color. Christmas at McShane's!!!

Also, we can't forget to mention our fantastic Christmas Light Display.  We worked tirelessly since July to assemble 55,000 lights, 1.2 miles of extension cords and 14 computers that will put on a "dancing" / festive Christmas Light Show that will blow your mind.  Video Link to Christmas Lights Display  As in year's past, the show is dedicated to our friends at the Salvation Army and the Monterey County Food Bank.  McShane's will be collecting toys, food & cash donations for those less fortunate.   I hope you can join us!

Pond Department:

In our warmer climates where ponds don't freeze over, the pumps and aerators need to continue running year round.  Have you gotten your thermometer yet?  As water temperatures dip into the 60°F range, cut back on feedings and mix staple diet with a wheat germ diet. Once water temperatures reach around 50°F, only offer wheat germ diet to your fish. Stop feeding when water temperature is at 40°F and do not feed again until water temperatures are consistently over 50°F in the spring.
