Greetings!
As winter releases its grip, Springer's students look forward to the last few months of the school year. This week they are immersed in preparations for the All School Quest.
Springer will host an Open House for prospective parents in April, and a Center Parent Program will show parents how to help their children become strategic learners. Registration for the center's summer program for students is now open.

Chuck Yeiser Was Springer Board President
 | | Chuck Yeiser at a Past President's event in 2001 |
The Springer community has lost an ardent friend, advocate and supporter with the passing of Charles F. "Chuck" Yeiser on March 6 at the age of 92. Chuck's involvement with Springer extended from the 1970s to the present. He was a member of the Board of Trustees from 1978 to 1989, and Board President in 1980. Dr. Norita Aplin, Springer's Executive Director from 1985-97, remembers Chuck as a very bright man who was always reading. "He couldn't imagine not being able to read," she said, "and I think that is what drove his unflagging support of Springer." Education was a passion for Chuck, who spent most of his career at the Cincinnati Country Day School as teacher and headmaster. "Chuck was a dynamic, yet humble, individual," said Sr. Marianne Van Vurst, Springer's Executive Director from 1978-85. "He believed in education, and he believed in children." Among his many contributions, Chuck was instrumental in facilitating Springer's move from Summit Road to the current location in 1981, and led the fundraising effort that paid for the building within a few years. Springer extends deepest sympathy to Chuck's family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
