 Stretching Beyond our Comfort Zones
affects us on many different levels: physical, mental, behavioral, and emotional/spiritual. Ideally, when we stretch in this way, we are doing so gently - moving forward in a compassionate way - as opposed to pushing, which can be an aggressive act that creates injury.
Stretching recognizes limitations and softly moves past them. It happens freely when a space opens up within you; you realize that you CAN go a little further. A possibility presents itself and the moment moves to "I can do this!" or "I can try that!" In this opening, there is curiosity and wonder.

 Stress or STRETCH RELIEF
These are not goals or even intentions. These are S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-S!
Try a new class, bring your exercise program up a few degrees. Ask a personal trainer for a session or an upgrade. Tweak it just a bit.
Invite an acquaintance for a cup of tea. Send a note of friendship or love, apologize for a wrong. Say yes when asked to go out with someone you might enjoy. Let someone in (or out!) Practice truly, non-interrupting listening time with a significant person. Ask for the same.
Try to understand a viewpoint that you have previously not understood.
