Dear Friends,

A customer on a radio ad can be heard saying: "Why not, it can't hurt right"? when referring to an extremely popular vitamin supplement. Well, the truth is, it can hurt...possibly for life. Please read this very important (and short) information.

Today I was coming back from doing a quick errand and heard an ad for this long-running very popular vitamin. The man said that his doctor told him to take this particular vitamin supplement. His initial response was: "Why not? It can't hurt me right?"  The ad then went on to espouse the health benefits of taking this particular vitamin.

I already knew this was a terrible supplement, but decided to see exactly what WAS in the product. Folks, you absolutely won't believe your eyes. This is why I cannot stress enough the importance of avoiding nearly all popular multi-vitamin supplements,  especially those recommended by M.Ds.

In addition to the usual vitamins and minerals listed in this supplement (all non-organic and in pill form), the following is a list of toxic ingredients directly from the website label (following each ingredient, I've added a very brief explanation of what it is). I was absolutely stunned by the amount of harmful substances found in this product. By the way, many of these ingredients can be found in the vitamins you buy from your local grocery store or GNC. I'll tell you what this particular product is at the end (don't cheat and look ahead) :-)

Ingredients:

  • Dibasic Calcium Phosphate (a diluent used in medications)
  • Ascorbic Acid (Vit. C - an isolated form of no benefit without it's co-factors)
  • Microcrystalline Cellulose (wood pulp used as an anti-caking agent)
  • Pregelatinized Corn Starch (processed carbohydrate used as a texturizer and/or binder)
  • Modified Food Starch (a starch derivative used as a thickening agent usually from genetically modified sources)
  • BHT (synthetic antioxidant used to preserve fats and oils in foods and medicines)
  • Boric Acid (weak acid used as an antiseptic, insecticide, or flame retardant)
  • Corn Starch (genetically modified starch from corn)
  • Crospovidone (a water soluble polymer that has been linked to pulmonary vascular disease)
  • Cupric Sulfate (chemical used as a herbicide, fungicide and pesticide)
  • FD&C Blue No. 2 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Red No. 40 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Yellow No. 6 Aluminum Lake (these are all toxic chemicals used as coloring agents)
  • Glycol (a chemical compound widely used as an automotive antifreeze)
  • Polyvinyl Alcohol (a vinyl acetate used as a component of wood glue, white glue, and other types of glues)
  • Silicon Dioxide (a flow agent)
  • Sodium Benzoate (an inorganic preservative not derived from plant sources)
  • Sodium Borate (an alkalizing agent used in pharmaceuticals)
  • Sodium Citrate (used as an anticoagulant for blood or plasma transfusion)
  • Sodium Selenate (a toxic byproduct of copper metal refining capable of killing 50% of rats who ingest as little as .4 mg)
  • Titanium Dioxide (a whitish mineral pigment residue generally resulting from heat that may be considered a carcinogen)
  • Tribasic Calcium Phosphate (used in powdered spices as an anticaking agent)
  • Maltodextrin (a refined starch usually made from genetically modified corn)
  • Sodium Aluminosilicate (a synthetic anticaking agent)
The supplement? One that every one of you has heard of and many have taken or still take: Centrum.

I've spoken with many people who continue to take similar products and feel guilty about discontinuing them simply due to the money spent. Folks, your health is much more important. If you are taking a supplement with questionable ingredients - please throw it away and stick with only those that are completely organic and are derived from live-food plant-based sources, like those from Drucker Labs, LP.

I thank you once again for your time.

Yours in good health,
Dr. Mike
