It's Kindergarten Registration Time!
Mark your calendar now for April 11 |
|
Kindergarten registration is Thursday, April 11 for all public schools in the Richmond region. Children who will be age 5 by September 30 can start kindergarten this fall, but first they must register.
For the third year in a row, United Way's Smart Beginnings Greater Richmond initiative is coordinating the kindergarten registration communication campaign on behalf of the school districts in our region.
On-time registration for kindergarten helps the school systems plan for attendance, but more importantly helps the child enter school ready to succeed. By acting together throughout the region to offer a common registration day, rather than separately, we can create greater awareness of school readiness as well as the need for on-time registration.
