ACE and Automated System

US Customs is stepping up their roll out of the ACE System. The CBP moved AES processing (for export declarations) into the ACE system. And President Obama wants the "ACE" system to be the "single window" for importers, exporters, CBP, and all other government agencies involved in imports and exports.  If you want more information on this key initiative and how it will impact you check here: ACE and Automated Systems.

Jaeger & Flynn Assoc. Inc, Announces Health Care Reform Pay or Play Calculator
Once the Affordable Care Act's employer mandate becomes effective, employers with 50 or more full-time equivalent employees may be subject to a penalty tax if they do not offer health care coverage to all full-time employees (and their dependents). These employers may also be subject to a penalty if they offer coverage that is unaffordable or does not provide minimum value.

These penalties, known as the "Pay or Play" penalties, will affect an employer once any full-time employee purchases health insurance through an exchange and receives a

tax credit or cost-sharing reduction related to the coverage.

Jaeger & Flynn Assoc., Inc. recently gained access to the Health Care Reform Pay or Play Calculator, a comprehensive modeling tool that can help determine whether your organization's current coverage is considered affordable or if it provides minimum value, and the amount of potential penalties that may be triggered.

To find out how these penalties will affect you, please contact Matt Schuette at your earliest convenience. Matt can walk you through the process of determining how the upcoming regulations will impact your organization and discuss what benefit plan strategies to implement moving forward.

Matt can be reached at (518) 792-0042, ext. 122 or via email at [email protected]. www.jaegerflynn.com
