The Colts have moved on to the 2A KHSAA Football State Championship game in Bowling Green after a 38-0 victory over Murray High School in the semifinal.  This is the school's third trip to the state championship, and second in the last five years.  The Colts will face Newport Central Catholic in the final.

Location: Feix Field at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium

Place: Western Kentucky University

General admission tickets are now available at DeSales at the discounted price of $9.00.  The cost at the gate will be $11.00.

Tickets hours are Tuesday-Thursday between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm, and Friday between 8:00 am and noon.

Limited edition "We Believe" championship game T-shirts are also available during regular Campus Store hours of Tuesday and Thursday 1:00-3:30 pm and Friday 5:30-8:30 pm (during the DeSales/Butler basketball game).

Despite ending the season with a 9-1 record, the Colts faced a very difficult playoff path.  As the #2 district seed, DeSales hosted a first-round game against Metcalfe County before embarking on three straight road games.  After winning at Glasgow, the Colts faced Christian Academy of Louisville for the region title before traveling 3 1/2 hours to Murray for the state semifinal.

11/15: DeSales 35, Glasgow 28

11/22: DeSales 34, Christian Academy 0

11/29: DeSales 38, Murray 0

The scores hardly reflect the toughness of the challenge, as DeSales has averaged a victory margin of nearly 30 points per game throughout the playoffs.
