Hall of Honors Award Winners Announced
July 9, 2013 - DeSales High School is proud to announce the recipients of the 2013 Hall of Honors Awards. The list includes three alumni, a current teacher, former teacher and an alumni parent.
The 13th class of Hall of Honors inductees includes Kevin Flanery '83, president of Churchill Downs Racetrack; Jim Hickey '75, Certified Public Accountant at Dennis O'Brien, PSC; and Lucian Raque, former DeSales teacher and owner of Prometric.
Greg Miller, an alumni parent, will receive the Outstanding Service Award, while Dan Hendrickson '04 will be recognized with the Young Alumnus Award. The President's Award, recognizing an outstanding current teacher at DeSales, will be given to Bill Moore.
The Hall of Honors Awards Dinner, presented by Hilliard Lyons, will take place at DeSales on Friday, August 9th and will feature special guest speaker, James R. Allen, CEO of Hilliard Lyons.

Allen serves as the Board Chairman of the Jefferson County Public Education Foundation and is Co-Chair of the Louisville Downtown Development Corporation Board.
The designation of "Hall of Honors Inductee" is the highest distinction bestowed by DeSales High School. Members of the Hall of Honors have distinguished themselves and DeSales through their outstanding accomplishments, character, or commitment to DeSales.
