SHINING
 
This is Carol. I know it's the lighting in the photo, but her face is shining. She flew all the way from England to stand at a prison in Jackson, Georgia on Tuesday. Carol is a member of a group called Lifelines in the UK that prays for and corresponds with the people on death row in the U.S. She made the trip here because the state of Georgia killed Brandon Jones. He would have been 73 on Valentine's Day. She and Brandon had been corresponding for 15 years. At least in part, it's the light that is making her face shine -- the other part is compassion. Compassion makes you shine.
ILUMINADA
 
Está es Carol. Se que son la luces, pero su cara se ve iluminada. Ella viajó desde Inglaterra para visitar la prisión de Jackson en Georgia el Martes. Ella hizo este viaje porque el estado de Georgia mató a Brandon Jones, el cual hubiera cumplido 73 años el dia de San Valentín. Ella y Brandon llevaban 15 años intercambiando correspondencia. Carol es parte de un grupo del Reino Unido llamado Lifelines, el cuál le escribe y reza por las personas que están condenadas a la pena de muerte en los Estados Unidos. Aunque en parte la luz es la que ilumina la cara de Carol, la otra parte es su compasión. La compasión te ilumina.
