I'm about to re-paint my bedroom which is in the Children and Creativity area of

my home.  I do not want to paint it white.  What color can I use?

Hi Lauren,  

Although white does correspond to the Children and Creativity area of the bagua,

it is not a recommended color for a bedroom.  It's too bright and active for that

space.
 

In Feng Shui we recommend skin-tones as a possibility:  tan, coral, beige, pink for

example.  If none of those resonate for you, then use a color that you absolutely

love.  However, avoid other bright and active colors like yellows or bright blues as

they will energize you too much and make it difficult to sleep.

The Chinese calendar, called the Tong Shu, reflects astrological cycles which can indicate on a daily basis whether there is a tendency toward good fortune or the
need for retreat or protection. If you're trying to make a decision about moving forward with a project or making a decision, you would want to do this on an extremely auspicious day or at least one indicated as a good day.
