A Personal Note from Susan
Hello
Today, my family will bury my Father. I'm writing this note on Thursday, June 2nd which would have been my Dad's 76th Birthday. We will do our best to celebrate and honor his life with a Military with Honors Burial Service. My Dad served in the Navy and was Honorably Discharged in 1962.
Although my Dad passed in February of this year, we waited for better weather, and this morning at 6:15am the sun is shining bright, the birds are chirping and my family is still asleep peacefully.
I would like to dedicate this issue of my Co-Creator's Corner to my Daddy, John D. Barnwell. Yes, at age 52, I still called him Daddy. We shared many hours together over the past several years as he battled cancer, watching his favorite old shows; Gunsmoke was certainly one of our favorites. I'm pleased that I was able to make time in my schedule to scoot over in the afternoons to share a cup of coffee and some TV time. My Dad was not much on conversation and if I attempted to have too deep of a conversation he would roll his eyes and just stare at the TV.
It's all good, that is who he was for my entire life and yet I felt a tremendous connection to him as we both got older. I credit my Mom with keeping us all close, and reminding us often how precious life with those we love is, and to never take it for granted.
The images I share with you are some of my favorites and I am grateful for your willingness to see them and to feel the love that they represent. With Father's Day coming up this Sunday, I would like to also dedicate this issue to your Dads, Grandfathers, Step-Dads, all those who hold a special place in your heart. Sending love and light to those still here with us, and others, like my Daddy who have crossed over, passed away and returned home. I love you Daddy! I told you it would be beautiful...not just "poof and I'm gone", as you would often say, but pure love and all that brings you joy. Thank you for everything!
Much love,P.S. Stay connected with me, (and read lots of informative & inspiring content) by clicking "like" on my Facebook page here. |

Never Run Out of New Customers!
In previous issues I shared that having a New Business Development (NBD) system, which you work on a consistent and persistent basis, will provide you with a continuous flow of prospective new customers; relieving you of the stress and fear of not knowing where your next sale will come from. I also shared my 7 Simple Steps to develop a NBD system for your business. You can find my archived issues on my Resources Page. In this issue I will highlight the final step, Step Seven: Repeat steps 1-6 until you reach your goals; never, ever give up! Congratulations, if you've implemented my 7 Simple Steps to develop a NBD system, you now have a system that can be activated whenever you have a desire to increase your sales, bring on new clients and grow your revenue. No more excuses of not knowing what to do next, or how to do it, or why it is important to do it. I've met many business owners who confidently state that they do not have to do sales, they proclaim that all of their new customers come from "word-of-mouth" and/or referrals. This of course is great news, and if it were to continue indefinitely then they would be very blessed indeed. However, I'm willing to wager a bet that says, at some point in the future, something will change and these business owners will find themselves in the very scary place of not knowing where their next new client will come from, how they will meet payroll and keep up with other financial obligations, and they will need to embrace a New Business Development system. If you ever meet anyone who makes this claim, feel free to share my 7 Simple Steps to develop a NBD system, or send him or her my way. My final reminder to each of you is that challenges, tough times, wrong decisions are all a part of being in business. Expect them, be grateful for the lessons that they provide, and when you are truly in one of those dark times, just remind yourself: If it were easy, everyone would do it, and no one can count you out, except you. Never, ever give up!

Resource Center
Here is where I will spotlight something that I think is pretty special. It may be a recent book that I've read, a product that I have used, or perhaps a program that I believe is worth checking out.
Summer is fast approaching and so is the time it takes to catch our prospects and customers before they head off to a more relaxed state of mind during July and August. Women entrepreneurs must be selling all the time no matter the season, their state of mind or the mindset of their customers. The only way to be successful in sales is to have a plan and use it consistently. Learn More
