A Personal Note from Susan

Hello

While enjoying my vacation with Prince Charming husband Jerry, in Kiawah, SC, I had an epiphany that I need to share with you; "There is no order of difficulty in miracles". This is a line from A Course In Miracles, which I have been a student of for the previous two years.

What this statement means to me is that we have all had the experience of dreaming about some big accomplishment, either personally or professionally. Perhaps it is a "lofty" financial goal, or it could be in the area of relationships, even physical healing of ourselves or a loved one.   In the moment we set our intention, we raise our vibration to a frequency where all things are possible; hence the statement, "There is no order of difficulty in miracles". It truly doesn't matter if it is big or small, that is only our perception of what we are intending to receive, and all are equally possible.

As human beings, after setting our "lofty" goals, we will have moments of self-doubt, fear creeps in, or unworthiness penetrates our thoughts, lowering our vibration. When any of these emotions occur, we are actually blocking the miracle from occurring.

My personal experience with this occurred while we were on vacation. Jerry and I have rented the same amazing villa while in Kiawah the last several years, and the view in the photo is the sunrise, from our villa. We have set the intention to own a fourth floor villa in Kiawah and enjoy discussing this each and every time we visit. Well, I caught myself, first thinking and then actually saying out loud, "Well, Jer, we may have to settle for the first or second floor, it wouldn't have the view we dream of, but it would still be on the ocean."

WAIT, STOP, "There is no order of difficulty in miracles". As soon as I began thinking of why it wasn't possible, or how we may have to settle, I lowered my vibration.

So, the lesson, and what I want to share with you, and what I hope you'll share with others, is that we need to catch ourselves when these lower vibrational thoughts, feelings and emotions occur. Set your intention, dream big and bold, and when you catch yourself with any limiting thought or belief, stop and repeat several times, "There is no order of difficulty in miracles", "There is no order of difficulty in miracles", "There is no order of difficulty in miracles"!

Much love,

The Gold Is In The Follow Up

In previous issues I shared that having a New Business Development (NBD) system, which you work on a consistent and persistent basis, will provide you with a continuous flow of prospective new customers; relieving you of the stress and fear of not knowing where your next sale will come from. I also shared my 7 Simple Steps to develop a NBD system for your business. You can find my archived issues on my website under Resources.

In this issue I will highlight Step Four: Follow Up and Maintain Database Integrity.

Let me begin by defining what I mean by Maintain Database Integrity. If you are prospecting more than twenty-five contacts (individuals and/or businesses) on a regular monthly basis, then you need to invest in a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software system. There are too many options for me to list, so do your due diligence, check out at least three, obtain pricing and be sure to confirm the vendor's level of support.

Then, use it! You will need to incorporate a system for how you will make contact with your prospects and then document any and all updates, such as; when you called, if you left a message or spoke to someone, who you spoke with, what was said, and when best to follow up. This is Database Integrity. It may feel like "tedious work" initially, but the first time you are able to go to your system, when a prospective client returns your call and pull up the history of your conversations, you will be glad you did it.

I'm often asked by clients; how many follow up calls should I make? I'm already impressed by the individual who asks me this question, because all too many stop after just one follow up call. Did you know that only 2% of sales occur at an initial meeting? This means that 98% occur after some degree of follow up. If we were to work together, in the area of NBD, you would often hear me say, "Sales success is not rocket science, it is purely a numbers game, and all you need to discover are your own unique numbers!"

Persistence is the key when it comes to NBD success. I have been in sales, in one capacity or another for more than thirty years. Regardless of what industry, from residential real estate to marketing, I have discovered that it takes an average of six contacts to convert a prospect to a sale. That doesn't mean that occasionally you do not get lucky, and make a sale with only 2-3 follow ups, that is why it is an average. Plan in your mind, and in your touch points, that your business will need to be in front of each prospect, no less than six times, and you will begin to develop a steady stream of new business on a regular basis.

In future issues of my Co-Creator's Corner I will highlight in more detail each of the 7 Simple Steps. If you can't wait until then to begin the creation of your unique NBD system, then request a free strategy session with me. It would be my privilege to have this very important discussion with you.

Resource Center

Here is where I will spotlight something that I think is pretty special. It may be a recent book that I've read, a product that I have used, or perhaps a program that I believe is worth checking out.

I am a huge fan of The Napoleon Hill Foundation, and in particular the book, Think and Grow Rich. Three Feet from Gold by Sharon and Greg is a sequel of sorts, and is a story about a young entrepreneur whose life is falling apart who finds himself retracing Hill's steps after a serendipitous encounter with a powerful businessman who sees the young man's potential and sets him on a challenging journey of personal, spiritual, and financial growth.

The message that I'd like each of you to take from reading this book, is to believe in yourself and never, ever give up, you could be three feet from gold - your greatest success of your life.

A Thought to Ponder

"Every adversity, every failure, and every heartache carries with it the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit."
