Introducing...
THE WAYNE HAWLEY GIVING GRANT

Hawley & Associates strongly believes in the industry it serves, and in the past, we have shown support through generous monetary donations and sponsorships.  This year, in lieu of donations and sponsorships, Hawley & Associates is now proud to introduce the Wayne Hawley Giving Grant.

This grant is exclusive to H&A clients and will ultimately help support programs, projects and organization whose focus is to benefit children, families and communities.

The grant is named in loving memory after Phil Hawley's father, Wayne Hawley, who was instrumental in the formation of Hawley & Associates, and a guiding force in making H&A the strong, dedicated and caring company it is today.

                                 Client Spotlight!
Children of The Nations was founded in 1995, with the sole mission of providing holistic care to thousands of orphaned and destitute children around the world.  They operate homes, schools, farms, skill centers, clinics, and village feeding centers in an effort to provide quality care for these children.

COTN recently hosted their 2nd Annual "Meal Packing Marathon" and Donna Hawley of Hawley & Associates was honored to be part of such a remarkable event (pictured above, with friend!).  The volunteers packed a total of 120,000 dried meals, which will then be shipped to Africa for distribution to partnering villages where they run daily feeding programs.

HAWLEY & ASSOCIATES attends the NATSAP Annual Conference
La Jolla, CA. - February 2016

Hawley & Associates was so excited to attend the NATSAP (National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs) Annual Conference in La Jolla, CA.

We love the opportunity to share our incredible mission and specialized insurance products to organizations that work with At-Risk Youth all across the US.

NATSAP members include therapeutic schools, residential treatment programs, wilderness programs, outdoor therapeutic programs, young adult programs and home-based residential programs working with troubled teens and troubled adolescents. All are working through NATSAP to make sure their industry provides the highest quality services to the young people and families they serve.

We look forward to continue serving such an amazing community and thank you to all our NATSAP clients who allow us to part of their mission!

FROM BULGARIA AND BURKINA FASO WITH LOVE
February - March 2016

Phil Hawley, along with our client,
World Association for Children & Parents
(WACAP) and their CEO, Greg Eubanks, recently traveled to Sofia, Bulgaria and Burkina Faso for the purpose of meeting with Diplomats in these countries to discuss inter-country adoption as well as visiting several local orphanages. WACAP currently serves the children of Bulgaria. The visit to Burkina Faso was to learn more about the country itself and explore their need for adoption.

They met with the Director and staff of VESTA Adoptions in Bulgaria, as well as Milena Parvanova, the Director of Inter-Country Adoptions from the Ministry of Justice, Kate McGeary, the Consular General and Emmania Blum, the Vice Counsel both at the US Embassy in Bulgaria.

It was an eye opening experience for both travelers, to say the least. Phil was so honored to be invited and to participate in such a remarkable mission!

WACAP is one of the largest international nonprofit adoption agencies in the United States. The first child was placed by WACAP in 1976 and they haven't looked back since!

Intl. Internship Programs
JAPANESE INTERNS JOIN  H&A

H&A is very active in supporting and participating in international internship programs offered by various local colleges. We currently have to two interns working with us; Masa and Yuka, both visiting from Japan.

The goal is to give our interns hands-on, working knowledge of the insurance industry as well as an understanding of the industry we are so dedicated in serving; that being social service, human service and child welfare.

Masa and Yuka's assignment will be ending soon and they have been an absolute joy to have around!  We will miss their enthusiasm, positive outlook and hunger for knowledge! We hope to have made a positive impact in their stay with us and wish them both well in their new ventures back home in Japan!

さようなら, Masa and Yuka!
