2013 H&A CARING FUND GRANT WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

Hawley & Associates, in partnership with the NCFA (National Council for Adopton) came together to form the H&A Caring Fund Grant. The Caring Fund is our small way of giving back and helping to make a difference in the non-profit world in which we work.

The grant was open to all attendees of the 2013 NCFA Annual Conference. Over 25 organizations submitted grant applications this year and we enjoyed learning about all the wonderful work they do. We only wish we could fund everyone!

It was a difficult decision, but the two recipients of the 2013 H&A Caring Fund Grant and the award of $5000.00 each are:

November was...

National Adoption Month

In 1995, President Bill Clinton declared November to be 'National Adoption Month'. Currently in the US, there are hundreds of thousands of children in foster care, all dreaming of their 'forever families'.

National Adoption Month was a time to celebrate family and to focus on these children currently in foster care. The celebration included National Adoption Day, which fell on November 23rd, 2013.

Even though November has come and gone, it is important to remember that every child deserves a loving family. Let's shine a light on this important issue, not only now but into the new year and encourage others to open their hearts and homes to children in need.

Nothing But Blue Sky! Our fearless National Account Executive, Adam Rogers, just celebrated his birthday by setting his sights high and jumping out of an airplane at 13,000 feet (that is him on the bottom). Adam is just as fearless when it comes to finding you the right coverage for your organization. The more money he can save you, the more money you can put back into the children, families and communities you serve! Way to go, Adam, and happy birthday!	A Hawley-Wood Halloween! This year's Halloween theme was A Haunted Hawley-Wood Halloween! Each employee dressed up as a character from a film that won an academy award. The following films were represented: Dracula The Great Gatsby Platoon Raiders of The Lost Ark Breakfast at Tiffany's Toy Story All the costumes were "Oscar" worthy! A great time was had by all.	WACAP "Home For The Holidays" Fundraiser Hawley & Associates is proud to be a sponsor of this years WACAP (World Association for Children and Parents) Annual Fundraising event, held on November 16th, 2013 in Seattle, WA. WACAP is one of the largest and most experienced international nonprofit adoption and child assistance agencies in the United States. We applaude their mission and look forward to our continuing relationship.
