MASTERS OF NUTRITION
Dr. Francis Pottenger
Pottenger's Cats

Dr. Francis Pottenger was a physician and researcher who devoted his life's work to understanding the correlation between nutrition and chronic illness.  Dr. Pottenger performed experiments, over decades, to prove the relationship between a healthy diet and optimal health.  These experiments are called Pottenger's Cats.

The experiments consisted of 5 groups of cats that were fed 5 different diets.  He eventually found that the group that was fed a traditional diet of raw unprocessed meats and milk were stronger, disease free, more socially well mannered, and had easier pregnancies and deliveries.  The other groups who were fed partially cooked foods and cat feed were born with more facial deformities, weaker resistance to diseases, more aggressive behavior, difficult pregnancies, and reproduction ceasing all together after a few generations.

What Dr. Pottenger found in his research mirrors what Dr. Price found with indigenous peoples around the world who lived off traditional diets.  Animals and humans alike need the nutrients found in unprocessed meats, dairy, and vegetables to maintain vital health and well being.
