The Forest Carbon Partnership Facility's (FCPF) Carbon Fund added Peru and Guatemala to the Fund's "pipeline" at meetings held in Washington, DC, after reviewing submitted Program Idea Notes (ER-PINs). Indonesia was also provisionally accepted into the pipeline pending revisions expected before the next meeting of the Fund.

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) are pleased to announce the publication of a Sourcebook on Monitoring Biodiversity for REDD+. The Sourcebook emphasizes a phased approach to monitoring based on availability of resources, and highlights that monitoring biodiversity as part of REDD+ can help countries to achieve both their biodiversity and climate commitments more cost-effectively.

(Pages 23-33) Nepal is one of the first countries to receive REDD+ funds from the FCPF to achieve REDD+ readiness and has now completed the preparation of the final REDD+ readiness document including the development of this sub-national baseline RL.The purpose of this paper is to summarize the process being utilized for this sub-national REDD+ programme in the TAL to develop RL in accordance with the IPCC GPG and the FCPF's Methodological Framework.
