NEW! Monthly Staff Picks!
As the "best of" lists are in the eye of the beholder, we offer instead some of our favorite reads. All of the books were read by Library staff members. Some are hot off the press, others have stood the test of time. All come with a personal recommendation.

The complete Staff Picks list can be found on here.

Every month we'll let you know what new books, DVDs, Blu-rays, and audiobooks we've added to our collection.
Osterhout Insider

Calling all book lovers!

Come visit the Friends of the Osterhout Free Library Book Sale sponsored by Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The book sale is held on the Library patio. It begins Saturday, June 14, and concludes Saturday, June 21. To view the Book Sale hours, click here

The Friends of the Osterhout Free Library formed shortly after the Agnes Flood of 1972. The group began by raising funds to help the Library recoup its losses. The annual Book Sale is the main fundraising event coordinated by the Friends.

In 2013, the Friends raised $22,000 by selling books and have raised almost $400,000 in the last 37 years. All money raised by the Friends goes directly to supporting the Library's Mission.
