Autograph Session with WBS Penguins Players and Tux!
The Osterhout Free Library and Allied Services are proud to present an autograph session with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins players Brendan Mikkelson, Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond and mascot, Tux, on Monday, February 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Show your pride and wear your Penguins gear to be signed. Love Your Library Night at WBS Penguins Game

Join us for Love Your Library Night at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins game on Sunday, February 16 at 4:05 p.m. Prices are $19, $22, or $24 and include game ticket, hotdog, chips and soda. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Library. Go Pens!

We're 125!             

The Osterhout Free Library officially celebrated its 125th birthday on January 29 with a reenactment of the Grand Opening in 1889. The staff dressed in the style of the 19th century, a time capsule was open for patrons to fill, Executive Director, Rick Miller, said a few words and there was cake, snacks, and refreshments for all to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who came out in the frigid weather to celebrate with us!

 

But the party isn't over yet! We'll be celebrating all year long with special events and programs for you to enjoy. Visit our special anniversary web page for updates.

Franklin St. Sleuths Book Discussion

Join us on Thursday, February 20 at 6:30 p.m. for our book discussion of A Killing in the Hills by Julia Keller. Light refreshments will be served.
