Raising the Roof for North Branch!
Join us for the 5th Annual Raising the Roof Party to Benefit the Osterhout Library North Branch. Friday, August 9, 5-8pm on the top level of the Intermodal Center in downtown Wilkes-Barre. $15 pre event, $20 at the door. Tickets include food, entertainment and alcoholic beverages and can be purchased at all Osterhout Library branches. Event is rain or shine. Must be 21 to attend. Toddler Storytime 
Toddler Storytime is for children aged 2-3 ½. It's held in the Ken L. Pollock Children's Wing on Tuesdays, July 23-August 13 from 6:30-7pm. Wednesdays, July 24-August 14 from 10am -10:30am and from 11am -11:30am. Please register in the Osterhout Library Children's Wing beginning Monday, July 15th or call 823.0156 x 217. Friends Book Sale raises $22,000!
The 37th Annual Friends of the Osterhout Book Sale is in the books and it raised an amazing $22,000. The Friends would like to thank everyone who supported them this year. Meet Author David Parmelee
Come meet author David Parmelee on Thursday, July 11 at 6PM. Relax and enjoy some refreshments while he discusses his book The Sea is a Thief. "Set on Chincoteague, Virginia during the Civil War, it tells the story of a dangerous courtship between a young Union sailor on a gunship sent to protect the island, and a Chincoteague girl whose gifts as a wildlife artist are beginning to blossom."
