Dr. Nelson F. Tomlinson Community Centre Renaming
Dr. Nelson F. Tomlinson Community Centre
The Dr. Nelson F. Tomlinson Community Centre (formerly the Claremont Community Centre) was officially renamed on Saturday, June 11, 2016. We were joined by several Tomlinson family members, and the community organization who supported the renaming. A great honour to a great man.

When will the Operations Centre be re-located?

The City will be demolishing  the Operations Centre currently located at Dersan Street and Tillings Road and constructing a new Operations Centre on Clements Road. Proposed construction to start in 2017 after which demolition of the existing facility will occur.

Emerald Ash Borer Update
 
The City has removed over 2500 trees affected by emerald ash borer since 2012. Trees were planted in Ward 3 as part of our spring and summer planting programs and more planting will be done this fall and continue into 2017.
