Transitions . . .  Lots to think about these days

Have you ever been aware of that inner force always nudging you? Showing you a certain path, encouraging you to try new things, challenging you to step outside your comfort zone?  Sometimes that guiding force is more apparent in times of transition. I know it has been for me, and often something I ignore, until the feeling reaches critical mass. And it's definitely that time of year. Summer's ending, kids are back in school, and some of us are ready for some type of routine or perhaps a new chapter.

In the last few weeks I have been hearing about all kinds of transitions: clients leaving their position or changing their job, friends becoming new moms, others wanting to begin a new journey in some part of their life and not sure how . . . it's  in the air for sure.

Sometimes this feeling is exasperating! But at the end of the day, it also means we are constantly evolving, with that inner force encouraging us,  challenging us, whispering in our ears:  "you never know what you'll discover!"

So why does it seem so scary to take that risk and leap forward? Transitions can rock us to the core. Even if the change is only in one part of our lives, it tends to affect all the others. And as I have recently experienced, sometimes that change is seemingly in EVERY part.

And with transition comes questioning, doubt. We may lose our orientation. What was once comfortable makes us feel restless and uneasy. We may even question the essential nature of who we are. What's important to me? What do I really want from life? Why is this suddenly different from how it was before? Perhaps - because of this restlessness -- there is difficulty in  finding true peace or solace. If we're lucky, there is at least certain people, or an activity, or a place where we will feel like ourselves, where our hearts can rest and feel connected once more.

And then there's the questioning . . . the "feeling stuck" and the inevitable waiting that comes as we sort everything out. Perhaps we've identified what we want to change, but we aren't able to implement the changes right away. Or we just don't know how to proceed, and we need time to figure things out. This can be difficult, frustrating, even painful. Yet we must wait. . . and accept that this waiting is part of the process. Dealing with the great  unknown is one of life's biggest challenges.

When we follow the voice of our hearts, the sometimes relentless voice calling us, showing us, trying to wake us up, we may stumble in getting there, but on the other side is a resting place, the "Ahhh" moment or "I did it!" moment we experience from trusting the  "knowing" from our deeper self.

Like water, we are meant to flow. Stagnant waters breed dis-ease. It becomes foul, stale. Flowing water will cleanse, transport, move energy and ultimately transform our lives into what we truly want. It's worth it, don't you think?

Confronting  fears and embracing them means you can open and enter through new doors only to discover new, fulfilling and mind-blowing opportunities for personal (and professional) growth!

Lots to think about these days . . .

Weekly Pangu Yoga Classes

New classes start this month!

In the words of a student

Thanks so much for the lovely Pangu session this morning. After having a
couple hours to let the practice sink in, I can share that I feel much calmer and more even-tempered than I have in a long while. The practice helped me to reconnect with my natural, internal rhythm and encouraged me to slow down. Rather than rushing through my day and trying to accomplish everything on my list, I feel more like I am floating through it and approaching tasks more mindfully.

I am excited to try this practice again and so grateful you are able
to share it with the Bliss Body community!

Take herbs to complement your Acupuncture
All herb prices $25, effective September 1

Just like acupuncture, ayurvedic herbs modulate the communication between different organ systems that control your body functions. The goal is to realign and strengthen the foundation of your health rather than offer symptomatic chemical band-aids.

In this sense, herbal medicine works from the inside out; showing your body how to correct the core imbalances that produced your symptoms in the first place. Encouraged by carefully prescribed herbal messages, your body remembers how to operate correctly and in harmony with itself. Renewed, more balanced function supersedes previous pathological symptoms without side effects.

Ananda Herbals Particular herbs help with blood circulation, calming the mind, improve digestion, maintain healthy respiration and the body's immunity, maintain even emotions and supple limbs, and help with labido.

Some herbal formulas for insomnia, allergies, and stress provide nearly instant results, while other formulas are taken over time for chronic conditions.
