Radiant Love
Reflections on Macau

Many people have asked me about the trip to Macau with Master Ou Wen Wei. It's difficult to find words to describe such a rich and profound experience, but I will do my best.

Imagine feeling like you're a in a beautiful dream the entire trip. Things seem brighter, sounds are louder and cleaner, and experiences are both amplified and felt more deeply through the heart. The gratitude I have and the generosity, love, and kindness I felt throughout the trip are incomparable to anything I have ever felt.

The hearts of all the Pangu students in Macau and Hong Kong were enveloping us with kindness, and the immense Divine Love pouring through Master Ou's heart was profoundly touching. It brings tears to my eyes when I think of how much he loves his students, and what a beautiful example it is of how to walk through this world.

On October 3, 2012, after months of practicing, I did something I never imagined I could. I sang and chanted on stage in a language I don't speak to 2,000 Chinese students. While my actual reciting in Cantonese surprised many of the Pangu students, they were also incredibly moved to see a foreigner expressing deep sentiments through their own language. What an honor it was to spread more love from my heart to theirs, and to feel their expanding love in return!

Master Ou had said that the calmer we are, the more love will be emitted to the audience. Before I went on stage, I asked Master Ou,  "You know that feeling of your heart pounding when you have no control over it? What should I do?"

He said, "Connect to my heart, imagine what I would do, smile at the audience, and they will smile back. The separation between you will become less. And remember what an honor it is to spread more love and healing to more people." I remembered his words, and my heart miraculously managed to internalize them and remain relatively calm!

One of the reasons he wanted us to perform was to show his students that even though I was a foreigner singing in a language I don't speak, I was still able to spread more love and healing, and we all are capable of connecting to others regardless of race, culture, or religion.

It was an inspiration for the idea that we are all one, we share one heart, and we all speak the language of love. It's what we all hunger for and what we all have the capacity to give, endlessly and continuously. I hope I have expressed and shared that love with you today through these words.

With loving wishes,
Anisha

Anisha also offers healing chanting as a service of her acupuncture practice.

After viewing and listening to Anisha's performance, one client had these words to offer:

"Anisha, now I know that luck has nothing to do with it. You are amazing. The first two songs were beautiful. The third song was pure energy sung straight from your heart to god. Listening to that song, I felt like the definitions of ourselves no longer existed, pure love and energy were resonating from you body into mine. I wanted toAnisha on stage in China listen to that sound forever. You transported me right into a meditative state. When you sang the other songs I wanted to know what they were about, when you sang the third song I didn't need to know because I felt as though I already knew. I used to feel slightly skeptical that chi could find its way to me from the recordings of Master Ou, but I listened to this video twice, and both times I felt it -- pure love, spirit and warmth.

"When Master Ou joined you, tears appeared in my eyes. Words don't really get there. You did it. You touched hearts. I know that because you touched mine. I love you."

The Chants
The first is a chant called Heavenly Destiny. The second chant, Surabaya, is named for a place Master Ou visits to see his students in Indonesia.

Heavenly Destiny
The origins of life contain mysteries and knowledge, deep and profound. So much more profound and mysterious when destiny calls you to Pangu! Previously, a beautiful night, we saw colorful clouds chasing the bright moon. Today, a wondrous scene: a path formed by clouds leading towards the sun.

Your heart knows this deep symbolism. My heart knows deeply, true kindness and love: Restrain evil! Enhance kindness! All accounts will be settled one day! Please don't hesitate on the Path to Immortality!

Healing with Whole Food

Food as Medicine:  Honey

The benefits of Acupuncture are enhanced with a complement of lifestyle changes, including exercise, nutrition, and self-cultivation of Life Force (Qi). When we consider nutrition, we need to realize that food is not only fuel for our bodies, but also can serve as medicine to help us become and stay healthy.

Honey One easily accessible food with medicinal qualities is honey. Bees produce a wide range of therapeutic substances beyond honey, e.g. propolis, bee venom, royal jelly, beeswax, bee pollen, etc. But the  sweet, sticky stuff we all love to dip our paw into occasionally is the most well known and most copiously consumed of them all -- and for good reason, it tastes great!

But did you know this sweet treat is one of nature's most powerful healing agents, as well? Here is just a smattering of some ailments for which honey's more scientifically researched health benefits apply:
  • Aspirin-Induced Gastrointestinal Toxicity (honey coats the delicate lining of the stomach, preventing aspirin-induced lesions and bleeding)
  • Bacterial Infections
  • Burns
  • Candida infection (despite the fact that honey contains sugar, it demonstrates anti-fungal properties)
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Dental plaque (a recent study showed that Manuka honey was a viable alternative to chemical mouthwash in dissolving dental plaque)
  • Dermatitis
  • Diabetic Ulcer
  • Herpes-related ulcers
  • MRSA - a staph germ (especially for Manuka honey).
There are numerous additional uses for honey beyond what is listed here. The next time you reach for a synthetic sweetener, highly processed sugar, or sweeteners with high fructose corn syrup, consider replacing them with a moderate amount of honey. It's a great way to introduce a whole food sweetener to your diet, while also taking steps toward preventive health.
Possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart, that thine may be a sovereignty ancient, imperishable and everlasting.
