September was a very busy month for Committed Fathers Alliance. As we began the process of selecting a Father of the Year in every state, we are also in the beginning stage of establishing strategic partnerships in support of this effort. One of the tools that we use to communicate and establish those strategic partnerships is this newsletter. Every month we thank our readers for their continued support and as our membership continues to grow we want to do a little more. This month we have a survey regarding our newsletter that we ask that all of our supporters fill out. Additionally we want to hear any suggestions that you may have on what you would like to see in our newsletter.

Radford Dockery 2012 Father of the Year

Expansion of the CFA Father of the Year

Committed Fathers Alliance has decided to expand our program. We want to recognized more than just one Father of the year. We are implementing a Father of the Year for each state in addition to our National Father of the Year. The goal is to reward each Father of the Year with a trip to the NPCL International Fatherhood Conference. In order to accomplish this we will need your help. We need Fatherhood programs to partner with us as State coordinators for the selection process of the CFA Father of the Year for there state. We have developed a system designed to sponsor the state father of the year, a significant person of his choice, and a the state coordinator to attend the NPCL International Fatherhood Conference. Additionally through joint fund raising activities we are looking at raising finances for the state coordinators fatherhood programs. We have many exciting things on the horizon as we move into 2013. If you are interested in helping us in this mission and want to see a more in depth  picture of the fund raising efforts necessary to accomplish this goal then please contact us. Lets allow our actions to demonstrate what we say with our words that we support and recognize the importance of Responsible Fatherhood.

005
Committed Fathers Alliance is moving forward with the initiative to select a Father of the Year from every state. Between the months of September and December we will select Responsible Fatherhood Programs to coordinate the selection process of the Father of the Year in their states.

Benefits to the coordinating program are public and media exposure for coordinating the selection process for Father of the Year; Joint Fund Raising activities designed to support the Father of the Year as well as individual program initiatives regarding responsible Fatherhood; and becoming a part of a strategic partnership with numerous other programs with a common goal of promoting and supporting Responsible Fatherhood.

For more information about becoming a State Coordinator contact us at 866-656-1116 or go to our website by clicking here

Looking forward to working with you in selecting the Father of the Year in your state.

Father Son Father Daughter Recognition Day Petition

To:  U.S.Congress

The relationship between a father and his child is a relationship that should be honored, respected, and encouraged. This country is facing an epidemic of children growing up without the love, support, and encouragement that a father can provide. Data from the U.S. Dept. Health and Human Services shows that children from fatherless homes are:

· 5 times more likely to commit suicide.

· 32 times more likely to run away.

· 20 times more likely to have behavioral disorders.

· 14 times more likely to commit rape.

· 9 times more likely to drop out of school.

· 10 times more likely to abuse chemical substances.

· 9 times more likely to end up in a state operated institution.

· 20 times more likely to end up in prison.

The Committed Fathers Alliance is dedicated to enhance the relationship between fathers and their children. In an effort to restore strained relationships and enhance existing relationships between fathers and their children, the Committed Fathers Alliance is proposing a National Father Daughter Recognition Day to be held on the third Saturday in the month of April and a National Father Son Recognition Day to be held on the third Saturday in the month of July. These are days where the relationship between a father and his daughter and a father and his son can be celebrated by the general public along with the father and his child. These will be special days where a father can enhance the relationship with his children by sharing an activity, special event, or dinner as a means of showing the love and commitment he has for his child. Please help our efforts to establish these special days by signing this petition in order to show your support of the importance of reestablishing and enhancing the father children relationships in this country.

Sincerely,
