CSC Wants to hear from paralegals...
Corporation Service Company (CSC) Conducting Survey - Overview of UCC Article 9
Corporation Service Company® (CSC®) is calling on all UCC professionals to complete a new survey. Anyone who manages Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) searching and filing transactions under Article 9 is invited to participate by visiting this link. CSC's goal with this survey is to assemble the first-ever comprehensive overview of UCC Article 9 best practices and insights. UCC professionals at all levels with lenders, leasing enterprises, factoring organizations and law firms can provide valuable feedback that may finally answer the burning question: What are your peers doing? "People want to know how other companies are managing challenges related to the 2010 Amendments to UCC Article 9," said Mark Rosser, vice president for CSC. "They want to know how others gauge and mitigate risk with their UCC searching and filing work, where they get their news, where they network ... these questions have answers! And we want to help answer them." The survey takes less than 15 minutes to complete, and all respondents will be entered in a random drawing for one of four tablets: the Amazon® Kindle Fire, the Apple® iPad, the Google® Nexus, and the Samsung® Galaxy. Partial survey results will be released at the end of this year, but only survey participants will receive exclusive access to the full results. To learn more about the survey, please visit http://www.cscglobal.com/uccsurvey. |

NALA Members Featured on Paralegal Voice
| | Click to listen! |
A recent edition of the Paralegal Voice featured former NALA board members Kathy Miller, ACP, CAS, and Karen Trumpower, ACP, presenting their research on legal apps for paralegals. Miller and Trumpower presented 90 Apps in 90 Minutes at the NALA Convention in July and have done the research and tests to determine the best apps for successful paralegals. The app experts break down and organize their top apps into seven categories: fax/scan, publications, research, note-taking, PDF and PDF-signature, security, games, and miscellaneous. They also take into account the platforms each app is compatible with (iOS vs. Android) and price.
Tune in to hear what Miller and Trumpower consider the best apps for paralegals, how to use them, and how to stay updated on app technology.
