I've been waiting to send this email in hopes of nailing down some final details - but the days keep slipping away and there are things you need to know NOW while we wait for the details from our upcoming guest artists. So, grab your calendars and at least write down the dates. We have things coming up you won't want to miss!

Labor Day Weekend with Memory Box!
We will be CLOSED on Monday, September 1 in celebration of Labor Day. However, we will be open our regular hours this Saturday and Sunday, so if you are around this weekend, you might want to stop by the store Saturday (between 10-5) or Sunday (between 12-5) to make this FREE card. It uses a stamp and dies from Memory Box and is a nice and bright way to celebrate the end of summer.
Also, we didn't schedule any classes this weekend because of the holiday. If you want to come to the store and work on a project in our classroom, you are more than welcome. Hope to see you! |

Impression Obsession Fall Frenzy and Winter WooWoo!
Okay, so maybe it isn't the best name for an event, but we are very, very excited to celebrate the new release of Impression Obsession fall and winter dies with you on Saturday, September 13. There are apples, leaves, pumpkins, witches, sayings, snowflakes, trees, Christmas tags, reindeer, and so much more! We are ordering lots of dies, so there will be a huge selection and a little something for everyone. Join us anytime between 10 am and 4:30pm to see the latest release as well as make a free fall card and a free holiday tag. Laura will also be hosting a free demo from 12pm-2pm to show you the new cut-out dies and how they differ from traditional dies. Come join the party and be inspired for fall and winter cardmaking! No reservations required!

11th Anniversary Open House!
Can you believe it? 11 years went by in a flash! Saturday, September 27 will be our last Anniversary Open House in this building. These events are always special, but this one will be one of the ages! We've known with the opening of the Metro that they would be redeveloping these buildings, so we are making plans to relocate. Meanwhile, let's party!
We'll have prizes, food, FREE demos, make-and-takes (which you will need to register for - and quickly), new stamping companies to tempt you, community outreach and much more. The details are on our web site. Please join us if you can!

Save the Date!
We have two amazing guest artists that will be here the 2nd week of October.
First, Els Van de Burgt, owner of Elizabeth Crafts, will be here for 2 workshops on Thursday, October 9. Els was born in The Netherlands and is fluent in the universal language of crafts and creativity - along with English, Dutch and German. We've had the pleasure of taking lots of classes with her over the years at trade shows, and you will be delighted with her projects and tickled pink to hear her talk!
Keeping it "international", we're excited to welcome Dyan Reavely of Ranger (and a native of the UK)! Dyan is the genius behind Dylusions sprays (among other cool products) and she will be here for a series of 4 workshops on Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12.
Stay tuned for more details, and if you'd like to be on the class list so you can guarantee a space, either give us a call or drop us an email. This is going to be epic!

Pinterest
Are you on Pinterest? So are we! We are so excited about our new Pinterest page, and we really hope you will give us a follow! So much new product comes into the store, and sometimes you just want to see samples or receive a little inspirational help. The boards will definitely get your creative juices flowing! (Isn't that Lawn Fawn card adorable? We have the stamps to recreate it!)
Everything we post on our Pinterest page is available at the store at the time of posting. So, if you see something you like, give us a call, and we will be happy to hold it for you. If we run out of something, we will be happy to order it for you. When you visit our Pinterest page, be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn board. It has more samples and ideas for the brand new release that arrived at the store yesterday!

New Classes!
In September alone, we have several new classes to inspire you. Why not? Why should youngsters be the only ones "going back to school" this month? Take some time to re-energize and spark some creativity!

Marilynn has a brand new Stencil Class. You'll make 4 cards, including these two stunners: Monday, September 8 - DaytimeTuesday, September 9 - Evening  Deb is back with a fun class celebrating all things OWL! There are Day and Evening classes on Thursday, September 11.  The "air theme" continues (see what I did there? Owls, Clouds???) Gayle is back with a new techniques class featuring 5 ways to do clouds! Clever! The class is Tuesday, September 16, with a Day and Evening session available. More classes are also available. Copic Refill Service!
Love the idea that Copic markers are refillable, but anxious to do it yourself??? Then, let us do it for you!!! You can drop off your marker(s) to be refilled during the week and pick them up on Saturdays, or bring them in on Saturdays for refills while you wait (excludes our 2 annual Open House events).
Service Fees:
Ciao markers: $1.00 per pen
Sketch markers: $1.25 per pen
Copic Original (square) markers: $1.25 per pen
**This service is not eligible for Class or Senior Discounts.
