Angela's Happy Stamper
Greetings, friends!
I must confess - I really believed that, as my kids got older and more self-sufficient, I would have more free time.  Boy, was I dumb or what?!?!  Their schedules are more hectic, which means MY schedule is insane!  :-)  I'm finding "self-care" time to be hard to come by and more important than ever.  I'm guessing you are all in the same boat.  Why not carve out some space to join us for some "you time"?  Join us on Tuesdays for the FREE demo between 12 & 2 or today (and every Thursday) for the FREE make-and-take between 10 & 8.  Or, if your schedule allows, take a full workshop.  We have lots to choose from.  Your brain will be refreshed and you'll be ready to tackle that schedule once again.
Fondly,
Angela

New Classes

Our two newest instructors offered amazing new classes earlier this month, and so they are back again with two new classes!

First up are Masculine Cards (pictured above) on Thursday, June 6.  In this workshop, Gayle will inspire you to use stamps that you may already have in your stash (rather than a more "traditional" male image like golf clubs or a remote control :-)  And, this class, in both day and evening, is just in time for Father's day!

Deb is back with another fantastic workshop on Thursday, June 12.  This class, entitled Not Just Florals, features stamps from WPlus9 as well as our two new companies - Mama Elephant and Avery Elle.  This class is available both day and evening as well.

And, not to be outdone, Laura (not a new instructor) is back with a NEW class.  This time, she's showing you the in's and out's of working with Distress Stains.  Stunning!  We're sneaking this class in tomorrow, Friday, May 30, but you can also register for the encore offering on Sunday, June 22.

These are just a handful of the classes we have coming up.  Please visit our web site to see the complete listing.  You will always find something to inspire you here :-)
New Product!

It's a "paper-palooza" back in the classroom.  We received three collections of Bo Bunny, and they were too stunning to put in the rack.  They are laid out on the tables (until close on Friday) for your viewing pleasure.

The Somewhere in Time collection is perfect for those of you who enjoy vintage designs or want to make some cards for Fathers Day.

Enchanted Garden has soft greens and purples and combines whimsical fairies with botanical elements.  The mushroom paper in particular is fantastic!

Does anything scream "summer" more than Lemonade Stand?  It has bright, vibrant colors as well as fun summer images.

Of course, we received other new goodies as well.  We've restocked our Avery Elle collection of stamps, as well as the very popular "ladies" from Art Impressions.  A complete wrap-up of new products is listed on our web site.

As some of you may know, I've been working on my Master's Degree in Divinity.  I've grown to appreciate our store even more as I've delved into my studies.  It really is a little piece of heaven here on earth.  Don't you agree?  It's been hard, over the years, to watch other independent stores (and even entire chains) go out of business, and so I've been looking at why that may be.  Turns out, it's not just symptomatic of the crafting industry, but it's a lack of community building in society in general.  I feel like "the community" is what makes our store special and adds value.  In other words, it's the very reason for our existence.  So, I've started a blog to capture some of my thoughts on this, and I would welcome and value your input.  (I just added a second post - I'll be posting at least once a week throughout the summer - and I've added a link on the blog so you can receive emails of my posts, if you prefer.  Please check it out).

Additionally, I've added some new types of workshops to our offerings, in the spirit of building community and allowing you more opportunities for YOU TIME!  First up is a morning of Guided Meditation on Wednesday, June 4.  I also have an evening workshop on Monday, June 9 called the Affirmation Box.
