Angela's Happy Stamper
Greetings, friends!

Thanksgiving is almost here!  If Halloween is all about the candy, then for me, Thanksgiving is all about the mashed potatoes and green bean casserole (which is almost healthy, right?).  I love the tradition that so many of my friends have - of sharing a thing they are thankful for each day of the month.  What a great habit to establish!  I am thankful that after ten years, we are still in business and we have met so many wonderful people along the way - YOU!    We wish you a very happy, healthy and memorable holiday!
Fondly,
Angela
Small Business Saturday Returns

Each year, we CLOSE on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families.  For the last several years, we have reopened with a BANG on Saturday, November 30 - thanks to the generosity of American Express.  They are the primary sponsor of Small Business Saturday, and a big proponent of supporting your local businesses.

Here's what you need to know.  First, you must have an American Express card.  Then, beginning on Sunday, Nov. 24, you need to visit ShopSmall.com to register that card.  You must register the card to participate, and they do limit the numbers, so put this on your calendar.  And then, stop by our shop on Sat. Nov. 30 and spend at least $10.  You will receive a $10 credit on your AmEx statement.  That's FREE stamping stuff, my friends!!!!  Don't miss out!

Free Demo Saturday - November 30!

Saturday, November 30 is not only Small Business Saturday, but it's also the 2nd in our series of Encore Learn at Lunch demos!  Join me (Angela) as I share the amazing things you can do with Paper Crafting Crayons!  One of my favorite things to do with them is to create a resist - so come in and try it for yourself!

Also, people have been loving the Envelope Punch Boards!  These make a great Christmas gift (hint hint).  I will also show you how easy it is to make dozens of sizes of envelopes - no measuring or cutting required!  Wow!  Stop in between 11 - 1 for a double whammy!

White House Ornaments!

This year, we are pleased to be selling the official collectible White House ornaments.  All proceeds benefit our local high school's (South Lakes) band programs.

The 2013 official ornament of the White House honors the administration of Woodrow Wilson. Wilson was the 28th President of the United States. He served during a critical time in American History when the nation was thrust into World War I. President and Mrs. Wilson visited the troops on Christmas Day in 1918. He was later awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in ending the war and bringing about peace.

The focus of the 2013 ornament is an American Elm tree planted just before Christmas by Woodrow Wilson on the North lawn of the White House 1913. The snowy scene is surrounded by a 24-karat gold-plated frame, comprised of elm leaves, a wreath of olives branches, and holly leaves. Two white doves of peace perch on the olive branches and hold the banner, "The White House 2013".

The words on the back of the ornament were delivered by Wilson in his War message to Congress April 2, 1917. "Peace must be planted upon the tested foundation of political liberty."

Holiday Gift Ideas!

To make life easier for your friends and family, why not fill out a wish list next time you're in the shop?  We have a handy, dandy form just waiting for you.  The staff has also created staff picks - products we love and can't live without.  You'll see our signs posted throughout the store.
The ScrapMaBob is one of the things we love.  It holds a 32oz cup and has a convenient trash bag to keep your space clean. Use it in your craft room or take it with you to classes or crops so that you don't spill on your projects!

Also note that if you are buying something as a gift, we would be happy to wrap it with some tissue paper, a cute holiday tag, and some bakers twine (see below).

Not sure what to get someone? We offer gift cards in any denomination. We can even email giftcards to recipients if you choose.
